A geo-converged telemetry (GCT) system is described that provides an exchange of geographically-relevant telemetry data amongst various vehicles, devices, and systems for providing a holistic view of a geographic area. Telemetry data from various sources may be continually collected and transmitted to a nearby node of a GCT system, where the data may be converged based on geolocation and processed. The same and/or other vehicles, devices, and systems may operate as telemetry consumers that receive feeds of geo-converged telemetry data that may be tailored to functionalities of the consumer. As a vehicle moves, data that are determined to be geographically-relevant changes. The location of the processing may move from one processing node to another processing node in the edge network such that the processing is located proximate to the vehicle to minimize latency and provide real time or near-real time feedback based on a holistic view of the geographic area.

Geographically-converged telemetry system

Edge-converged telemetry is provided. A system, method, and computer readable storage device are provided for collecting telemetry data from a plurality of telemetry sources in an edge network, determining geolocations of the telemetry, tagging the telemetry with geolocation metadata corresponding to the determined geolocations, correlating telemetry based at least in part on the geolocation, converging the telemetry, and providing the edge-converged telemetry to a client decisioning system that is enabled to use the converged telemetry for making or influencing decisions made by the system. In an example aspect, the decisioning system is configured to make decisions for controlling a device, wherein the decisions are based at least in part on telemetry data. Accordingly, edge-converged telemetry enhance capabilities of the decisioning system by providing data that may have not been previously available to the system and/or by providing a more comprehensive representation of the environment in which the system is operating.

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to immersive digital media. A method may include receiving, at a first device, first volumetric data, and second volumetric data including a first volumetric time slice of a first volumetric media stream. The method may include determining that the first volumetric time slice includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion representing a first object and including an amount of the second volumetric data. The method may include determining that the first volumetric data represents the first object. The method may include generating a second volumetric time slice including the first volumetric data and the second portion of the first volumetric time slice, and generating a second volumetric media stream including the second volumetric time slice. The method may include sending the second volumetric media for presentation at a third device.

Enhanced immersive digital media

Aspects of the present disclosure provide a technical improvement to the problem of network congestion that exists when providing online services to clients. A system, method, and computer readable storage device use a resource assignment protocol to direct client requests for content and remote processing to a dynamic edge-compute instance placed in proximity to the client, thereby improving the Quality of Service QoS of network traffic. A policy server is implemented for serving specific clients with specific dynamically-placed services. Accordingly, traditional network traffic associated with communicating with a remote resource server and computational demand on the remote resource server are reduced, thereby making the network more efficient.

Resource assignment protocol-implemented policy-based direction of a client to an edge-compute resource

Automated virtual premised server installation and services configuration are provided. Aspects provide a system, method, and computer readable storage device that enable aspects of a virtual premised server-on-demand (VPSoD) service to provide a technical improvement to premised server installation, support, and operation. The VPSoD service provides the capability of a consumer to subscribe to one or more premised server servers, and those servers and associated services are automatically installed on a remote virtual instance of a premised server and automatically configured with minimal user input. A secure communication tunnel is configured between the consumer's local network and the virtual premised server for enabling services installed on the virtual premised server to communicate on the local network and behave as if the virtual premised server is connect into the network.

The wearable device may determine, based on a comparison of the data to the model, an occurrence of the event. A smart local power distribution (SLPD) system is provided for improving the efficiency of local power generation and consumption. The SLPD system includes a local distribution grid connected to a regional power grid by a local power manager including a local power storage unit and further connected to a plurality of power meters. The local power storage unit is configured to store excess locally-generated power and to provide supplemental power to prosumers for minimized usage of regionally-supplied power and minimized peak-time usage of regionally-supplied power. A system and method identify an optimal route for data from a client-network to a remote host-network and direct the data along the optimal route. In one implementation, a VNF is configured as a default gateway for the data and is deployed at a strategic location along the optimal route, thus forcing the data on the route. In another implementation, a VNF is deployed on a network and configured as a virtual router. A client network that is provisioned for optimized routing services communicates with the virtual router, wherein the virtual router advertises the optimized route to peers to route the targeted subset of traffic on the optimal route. The guide experience may also include an optional guide-view as part of the navigation guide. Further, the guide experience may receive input from a user to personalize the mosaic for the user. Mosaics may be defined including a plurality of thumbnails which may be available for display on a client device. Per a request received to manipulate a thumbnail within the mosaic with a video, the selected video may be retrieved, manipulated and transcoded in accordance with the request. The thumbnail may then be updated with the selected video within the mosaic, and the mosaic may be transmitted to the client device.
