A negative-type image recording material comprising a support having a rear surface and an image recording layer disposed on the support, the image recording layer having a front surface and including (A) a radical-generating agent and (B) a radically polymerizable compound, wherein a static friction coefficient between the front surface and the rear surface is less than 0.50. In order to achieve such a specified static friction coefficient, it is preferable that the image recording layer contains (D) a compound represented by the following formula (1):R&#x2014;X &#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein Rrepresents an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group having a total of 8 to 32 carbon atoms, and X represents CO&#x2014;Y&#x2014;R, NH&#x2014;CO&#x2014;NH&#x2014;R, SO&#x2014;Y&#x2014;R, or Y&#x2014;Rin which Y represents O, S, NRor a single bond.

Image recording material

The invention provides a negative image recording material comprising: a support and an image recording layer disposed on the support, the image recording layer comprising an amide-acid compound containing a carboxyl group and an amide group expressed by the following General Formula (1):  The invention further provides a negative image recording material comprising a support, an image recording layer disposed on the support, the image recording layer containing a polymerization initiator and a polymerizable compound, and an overcoat layer disposed on the image recording layer, the overcoat layer containing the amide-acid compound expressed by the General Formula (1).

In electrostatic inkjet recording in which an ink droplet is ejected by acting electrostatic force on ink that contains colorant particles, the electric conductivity of the colorant particles in the ink is saturated. Thus, variations in ink dot diameter caused by the ejection delay and a decrease in frequency responsivity are avoided, so that high-quality image recording with good frequency responsivity can be realized.

Ink composition and inkjet recording method

An inkjet recording method comprising ejecting an ink composition comprising a dispersion medium and charged particles containing at least a colorant by utilizing an electrostatic field, wherein the method comprises preparing as the ink composition, an initial feeding ink composition and a replenishing ink composition in which solid content concentration is controlled higher than solid content concentration of the initial feeding ink composition, and replenishing the replenishing ink composition in order to compensate decrease in concentration of the charged particles due to ejection of the initial feeding ink composition.

Inkjet recording method

When a drive frequency for an electrode used to cause an electrostatic force to act on an ink composition is assigned A, and a division frequency for a thread is assigned B, a relationship of A&#x2267;5 kHz and B/A&#x2267;5 is met, and a division frequency for the thread is reduced for a time period required to apply a pulse voltage to the electrode in order to eject the ink composition. As a result, it is possible to provide an electrostatic ink jet recording method with which excellent gradation controllability and controllability for dot diameters in a shadow area can be realized.

Ink jet recording method

A heat mode type negative image recording material is provided which comprises (A) a polymer compound that is insoluble in water but is soluble in an alkali aqueous solution and has at least one of groups represented by general formulae (1) to (3) on a side chain; (B) a photothermal conversion agent; and (C) an onium salt compound forming radicals by heat mode exposure with light that is capable of being absorbed by said photothermal conversion agent (B), said heat mode type negative image recording material being capable of recording an image by heat mode exposure. The general formulae are defined in the specification.

A planographic printing plate precursor comprising: a substrate; a photosensitive layer disposed on the substrate, the photosensitive layer including a light-to-heat conversion agent and a compound, which is at least one of crosslinkable and polymerizable, with solubility of the photosensitive layer in an alkali developing solution being decreased by the effect of at least one of light and heat; and an overcoat layer including a polymer, which is hydrophobic and soluble in an aqueous alkali solution.

Planographic printing plate precursor

The present invention provides a planographic printing plate precursor comprising a photosensitive layer on a support, the photosensitive layer including an infrared absorbent, a radical polymerization initiator and a radical polymerizing compound, the photosensitive layer being recordable with irradiation with an infrared ray, and being at least one of soluble and dispersible in water.

Planographic printing plate precursor and planographic printing method

A negative type planographic printing plate in which recording can be performed directly from digital data of a computer or the like using an infrared laser. Sensitivity of the plate is high, ablation by a recording layer during recording is suppressed, a developing property is good, occurrence of a film residue does not occur, and image forming properties such as halftone dot reproducibility are excellent. The negative type planographic printing plate has on a supporting body, in the following order, a first layer that contains a polymer insoluble in water and soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution, and a second layer that contains a cross-linking or polymeric compound, which forms a covalent bond by action of light or heat and lowers solubility of the second layer in an alkaline developing liquid.

Planographic printing plate

A photopolymerizable composition that is cured with visible light or an infrared laser and is used as a recording layer in a negative planographic printing plate precursor. The photopolymerizable composition is cured by exposure and includes (A) a polymerizable compound that is solid at 25&#xb0; C. and has at least one radical-polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated double bond in a molecule, (B) a radical polymerization initiator, (C) a binder polymer and, as required, (D) a compound generating heat by infrared exposure.

Photopolymerizable composition

A negative planographic printing plate comprising a substrate carrying thereon a recording layer which contains a polymerizable compound and an infrared absorbing agent, and in which a polymerization reaction caused the action of light or heat decreases solubility in an alkali developer, wherein the optical density of said recording layer is from 0.4 to 2.0, and the film hardness of the upper part of said recording layer after reduction in solubility in an alkali developer due to the action of light or heat is higher than the average film hardness of the whole recording layer, and a preferable method of producing the same.

Planographic printing plate and method of producing the same

There is provided a negative planographic printing plate which can be directly recorded based on digital data from computers and the like, excellent in storage stability, shows no reduction in sensitivity with the lapse of time, and has excellent face flatness. It comprises a substrate having disposed thereon a photosensitive layer which is obtained by applying a photosensitive layer application solution containing an infrared absorber, a compound which generates a radical or acid due to heat, a polymerizable compound or a crosslinking compound, and a silicon-based surfactant such as a siloxane/oxyethylene copolymer and the like, onto the substrate and drying the solution, and which is hardened by exposure to an infrared laser ray.

Negative planographic printing plate

An image forming method for developing a negative type image forming material after image exposure by an infrared laser. The negative type image forming material is provided with a photosensitive layer, which has sensitivity to an infrared laser. The negative type image forming material is developed with a weak alkaline aqueous solution having a pH in a range from 7 to 12 and containing a carbonate and a surfactant.
