An electrochromic device includes: two electrodes with an electrochromic material therebetween; switching elements, a source or a drain of each of which is coupled to one of the two electrodes; scanning lines coupled to gates of the switching elements; transmission lines coupled to the other one of the source and the drain of each switching element; and first switches capable of individually switching coupling between a first wiring and each transmission line. A first period and a second period are alternately provided. In the first period, reset potentials of the transmission lines are given at either a first timing before a signal to be transmitted to the gates is given to the scanning lines or a second timing after the signal is given to the scanning lines. In the second period, the signal potential is given to the transmission lines at the other timing of the first and second timings.

Electrochromic device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first line which is arranged across a display portion, and includes a first end portion and a second end portion located at a non-display portion such that the display portion is located between the first and second end portions, a first switch electrically connected to the first end portion, a second switch electrically connected to the second end portion, a first terminal electrically connected to the first end portion via the first switch, and a second terminal electrically connected to the second end portion via the second switch.

A display device includes signal lines, first driver terminals that are provided in a first peripheral region and to which a first driver IC can be coupled, second driver terminals to which a second driver IC can be coupled, a plurality of inspection terminals provided in the first peripheral region, first inspection switches coupled to the first driver terminals and configured to be capable of switching coupling and interruption of the inspection terminals and the signal lines, and second inspection switches coupled to the second driver terminals and configured to be capable of switching coupling and interruption of the inspection terminals and the signal lines.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display portion, a first terminal, a second terminal located between the display portion and the first terminal, and an insulating film, in which each of the first terminal and the second terminal is a stacked layer body of a metal electrode and a first transparent electrode, in the first terminal, the first transparent electrode is in contact with an upper surface and a side surface of the metal electrode, in the second terminal, the insulating film is in contact with a side surface of the metal electrode, and the first transparent electrode is in contact with the upper surface of the metal electrode in an inside surrounded by the insulating film.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a display region in which a plurality of pixels are provided; a peripheral region positioned between an edge of the first substrate and the display region; a plurality of scanning lines extending in a first direction; a plurality of signal lines extending in a second direction; a plurality of terminals arranged in the first direction in the peripheral region of the first substrate; a plurality of connection lines that connect the terminals and the signal lines; a plurality of spacers provided between the first substrate and the second substrate in a direction perpendicular to the first substrate; and a plurality of dummy electrodes separated from the connection lines in planar view and provided between the first substrate and the spacers in the direction perpendicular to the first substrate.

The counter electrode selector circuit includes an address decoder circuit that selects the counter electrodes of the respective blocks for a given period, and a selector circuit that applies a touch panel scanning voltage to the counter electrode of the block selected by the address decoder circuit, and applies a counter voltage to the counter electrodes of the blocks not selected by the address decoder circuit.

A second substrate has detection electrodes of a touch panel, each of pixels has a pixel electrode and a counter electrode, the counter electrode is divided into a plurality of blocks, the counter electrodes of the respective divided blocks are commonly provided for the respective pixels of the plurality of display liner in series, and the counter electrodes also serve as scanning electrodes of the touch panel, and a counter electrode selector circuit that selects the counter electrodes. The counter electrode selector circuit includes an address decoder circuit that selects the counter electrodes of the respective blocks for a given period, and a selector circuit that applies a touch panel scanning voltage to the counter electrode of the block selected by the address decoder circuit, and applies a counter voltage to the counter electrodes of the blocks not selected by the address decoder circuit.

A three-dimensional display device prevents a barrier wire breakage failure and includes a parallax barrier panel resistant to static electricity. The 3D display device has a liquid crystal parallax barrier panel disposed over a display panel. The parallax barrier panel has a first substrate having an electrode formed flat thereon and a second substrate having a display area, the first substrate and the second substrate having liquid crystal sandwiched therebetween. The second substrate has barrier electrodes extending in a first direction and arrayed at a first pitch in a second direction, has a first bus electrode extending in the second direction outside the display area along a first side thereof, and has a second bus electrode extending in the second direction outside the display area along a second side thereof opposite to the first side. The barrier electrodes are connected to the first and the second bus electrodes.

A parallax barrier panel including a first substrate having a flat electrode, and a second substrate, the liquid crystal sandwiched therebetween. The second substrate has first barrier electrodes extending in a first direction and arrayed at a first pitch in a second direction, and has second barrier electrodes, the first and the second harrier electrodes having an interlayer insulating film interposed therebetween. Gaps between the first barrier electrodes are blocked by the second barrier electrodes when viewed in a plan view. Each of the first barrier electrodes is paired with one of the second barrier electrodes. Bus electrodes extend outside the display area along a side thereof. The first barrier electrodes are connected to the bus electrodes via first through holes formed in the interlayer insulating film. The second barrier electrodes are connected to the first barrier electrodes via second through holes formed in the interlay insulating film.

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate on which a thin film transistor is formed. The liquid crystal display device includes a first transistor which has a gate electrode thereof formed on a side more remote from the first substrate than a semiconductor layer and has a drain electrode thereof connected to the drain line, a second transistor which is connected to the first transistor in series, and has a source electrode thereof electrically connected to a pixel electrode, and a light blocking layer which is formed between the semiconductor layer and the first substrate and blocks a backlight incident from a first substrate side. The light blocking layer is formed in an overlapping manner on the first transistor, blocks a backlight incident on a first transistor side, and allows a backlight incident on a second transistor side to pass therethrough.
