The present invention relates to, for example, a vehicle control device including a driving force control unit that controls a driving force generated by a wheel of a vehicle; and a braking force control unit that controls a braking force generated by the wheel; where the driving force control unit generates the driving force of a first prescribed amount and the braking force control unit generates the braking force of a second prescribed amount to control the speed of the vehicle to be constant; and acceleration or deceleration are both controllable by performing one of control of the driving force by the driving force control unit and control of the braking force by the braking force control unit.

Vehicle control device

A brake control device controls a hydraulic brake that generates hydraulic braking force and an electric parking brake that generates parking braking force different from the hydraulic braking force. The brake control device comprises: a detection unit that detects a parking brake operation for causing the electric parking brake to generate the parking braking force; and a control unit that causes the electric parking brake to generate the parking braking force when the hydraulic braking force per wheel generated by the hydraulic brake, after decreasing below the minimum first braking force per wheel required for maintaining the vehicle stop state only by the electric parking brake, is less than the first braking force, in association with the parking brake operation having been performed in a state where the stop state is maintained only by a hydraulic brake operation for causing the hydraulic brake to generate the hydraulic braking force.

Brake control device

A brake control device for controlling an electric parking brake may include: a piston capable of pressing a brake pad in accordance with the hydraulic pressure in a cylinder; a linearly moving member that adjusts, by reciprocating in the cylinder, the pressing force applied to the brake pad by the piston; and an actuator that moves the linearly moving member by operating based on a target pressing force, which is a target value of the pressing force corresponding to an output value obtained from a sensor that detects information correlating with the hydraulic pressure. The brake control device is provided with: an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality of the sensor; and an actuator control unit that, if an abnormality is detected, controls the operation level of the actuator based on an output value obtained prior to the detection of the abnormality.

The present disclosure provides a brake control device applied to a vehicle including a hydraulic brake device that generates a hydraulic braking force by pressing a braking member with hydraulic pressure toward a member-to-be-braked that rotates integrally with a wheel; and an electric brake device that generates an electric braking force by pressing the braking member by driving a motor toward the member-to-be-braked. A controller that controls the electric brake device is provided. The controller executes, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, a positional control for driving a motor and moving a propeller shaft that transmits the driving force of the motor to the braking member toward the member-to-be-braked as compared to when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.

Tire

The brake control device controls a hydraulic brake to generate hydraulic braking force on both the front and rear wheels of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, and an electrical parking brake to generate parking brake force, different from the hydraulic braking force, on the front or rear wheels. The brake control device includes: a detection unit that detects parking brake operation for causing the electrical parking brake to generate a parking brake force; and a control unit for reducing the hydraulic braking force generated on the front wheels or the rear wheels and adjusting the hydraulic braking force on the other of the front wheels or the rear wheels to a magnitude allowing a stationary vehicle state to be maintained, before a parking brake force is generated by the electrical parking brake, when a parking brake operation is detected while a stationary state is being maintained solely by the hydraulic braking force.

A tire includes a tread portion including first to third main grooves continuously extending in a tire circumferential direction. The first main groove has a groove centerline arranged on a side of the inboard tread edge with respect to a tire equator and the groove centerline is located at an axial distance Lfrom the tire equator of from 5% to 25% of a tread half width. The second main groove is arranged between the first main groove and the inboard tread edge and has a groove centerline located at an axial distance Lfrom the tire equator of from 35% to 65% of the tread half width. A pneumatic tire include a tread portion with a designated installing direction to a vehicle to define an outboard tread edge and an inboard tread edge, the tread portion including an inboard portion defined between the inboard tread edge and a tire equator and an outboard portion defined between the outboard tread edge and the tire equator. The inboard portion is provided with a circumferentially and continuously extending first main groove and a circumferentially and continuously extending second main groove arranged between the first main groove and the inboard tread edge. An axial distance from the tire equator to a centerline of the second main groove is in a range of from 0.35 to 0.75 times of a width of the inboard portion. No circumferentially and continuously extending main grooves are provided with the outboard portion.

Pneumatic tire

A tire includes a tread portion having an installing direction to a vehicle so as to have an outboard tread edge. The tread portion is provided with a plurality of first inclined grooves each having an inclination to a circumferential direction of the tire and extending from at least a tire equator to the outboard tread edge, a plurality of second inclined grooves each having an opposite inclination to the inclination of the first inclined grooves and extending from at least the tire equator toward the outboard tread edge, and a plurality of blocks separated by the first inclined grooves and the second inclined grooves. Each second inclined groove includes an outboard end that terminates at one of the first inclined grooves so that a plurality of substantially trapezoidal shoulder blocks are arranged along the outboard tread edge.

A vehicle brake device includes a hydraulic pressure generating device, a valve device, a pump and an accumulation section forming an accumulation chamber connected to a fluid passage between the valve device and the hydraulic pressure generating device or to a master chamber. A dead band is set in which the change of force of the magnitude corresponding to the hydraulic pressure in the master chamber does not substantially act on a brake operating member. A characteristic representing the relation between the pressure and the brake fluid quantity in the accumulation chamber is set based on a characteristic representing the relation between the pressure and the brake fluid quantity in a wheel cylinder and the dead band so that, when brake fluid is flowing into and from the accumulation chamber, a force of the magnitude corresponding to the master chamber hydraulic pressure does not act on the brake operating member.

Vehicle brake device

A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided with: an inside circumferential groove () near the tread edge (Ti); 1st axial grooves () extending from the inside circumferential groove () toward the tire equator (C); oblique grooves () extending from the respective 1st axial grooves () to the outside tread edge (To), while inclining to the opposite direction to the intended tire rotational direction (R); 2nd axial grooves () extending from the inside circumferential groove () to the oblique grooves (); and connecting grooves () extending between the oblique grooved. The tread portion () is provided with bent blocks (B) each made up of an axial part () and oblique part (). The bent point (E) of the bent block (B) is positioned on the inside tread edge side of the tire equator (C), and the axial distance (L) therebetween is 0.10 to 0.25 times the tread width (TW).

A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion having an outside tread edge and an inside tread edge. The tread portion is provided with: a plurality of oblique grooves extending from the outside tread edge toward the inside tread edge beyond the tire equator, while inclining to one circumferential direction corresponding to the tire rotational direction at angles of from 20 to 45 degrees with respect to said one circumferential direction; and a plurality of connecting grooves extending between the oblique grooves at angles &#x3b2; of from 90 to 180 degrees with respect to said one circumferential direction. Between every two of the adjacent oblique grooves, there are disposed are three or more of the connecting grooves which are gradually decreased in the angle &#x3b2; from the outside tread edge towards the inside tread edge, whereby a plurality of oblique blocks are formed between every two of the adjacent oblique grooves.

A motion control device for a vehicle includes a vehicle speed obtaining device, a curvature obtaining device for obtaining a bending grade of a curve existing ahead of the vehicle, a position obtaining device for obtaining a relative position between the vehicle and the curve, a determination device for determining an appropriate vehicle speed for the vehicle passing through the curve based on the bending grade, a speed reduction control device for executing a speed reduction control for reducing the vehicle speed based on the vehicle speed and the relative position so that the vehicle passes through the curve at the appropriate vehicle speed, and a gradient obtaining device for obtain a gradient of the road on the curve existing in a traveling direction of the vehicle, wherein the determination device determines the appropriate vehicle speed based on the gradient of the road in addition to the bending grade.

A motion control device for a vehicle includes a controlling means for maintaining a traveling stability of the vehicle by controlling a braking force of a wheel of the vehicle, a friction coefficient obtaining means for obtaining a friction coefficient of a road surface on which the vehicle travels, a lateral force reference value calculating means for calculating a lateral force reference value acting on the wheel on the basis of the friction coefficient of the road surface and a lateral force actual value obtaining means for obtaining a lateral force actual value acting on the wheel, wherein the controlling means controls the braking force on the basis of a comparison result between the lateral force reference value and the lateral force actual value.
