The calculation unit is configured to, based on heat generated by the light emission operation of the light source, calculate a first control temperature and a second control temperature. The control unit is configured to control the light emission operation. The calculation unit calculates the first control temperature based on a first influence degree of the heat generated by the light emission operation and calculates the second control temperature based on a second influence degree of the heat generated by the light emission operation different from the first influence degree.

An illumination control apparatus which is capable of preventing illumination with insufficient light in main light emission when multiple illumination apparatuses are used for image capturing.
