A position detection device includes an electromagnetic conversion element and a magnetic field generator. The electromagnetic conversion element is arranged on a given plane. The magnetic field generator is arranged facing one side of the electromagnetic conversion element in a direction vertical to the given plane and generates a magnetic field covering the electromagnetic conversion element. A relative position between the electromagnetic conversion element and the magnetic field generator is detected when a relative displacement parallel to the given plane is made by the electromagnetic conversion element and the magnetic field generator based on an output signal of the electromagnetic conversion element. The magnetic field generator has an opposed face that tilts to the electromagnetic conversion element, and generates the magnetic field from the opposed face.

Position detection device

An input device including an operation portion to be operated by an external force, a signal generating portion that generates a signal according to a movement of the operation portion, and a tactile sense stimulus mechanism that applies a tactile sense stimulus to an object that applies the external force is provided. The tactile sense stimulus mechanism includes magnetic field generating portions, and a tactile sense stimulus member that is secured to a magnetic field generating portion.

Input device

A probe is made to contact an electrode terminal in an electric circuit or an electronic part for an electric measurement of the electric circuit or the electronic part. The probe includes a terminal portion which is brought in contact with the electrode terminal at one end of the probe, a spring portion in which U-shaped unit portions are arrayed in a zigzag formation, and a housing portion which surrounds the spring portion. The probe is formed of a sheet of a metal sheet which is bent multiple times, the metal sheet having a predetermined configuration in which a portion corresponding to the terminal portion, a portion corresponding to the spring portion, and a portion corresponding to the housing portion are continuously linked together.

Probe and method of manufacturing probe

A card connector includes a housing including an insertion part into which a card is to be inserted; and a switch mechanism including a movable terminal and multiple fixed terminals. The movable terminal is configured to deform elastically in response to being pressed by the card upon the insertion of the card into the insertion part. The fixed terminals are provided in a direction in which the movable terminal is displaced by the elastic deformation. The movable terminal is configured to be in contact with or out of contact with at least one of the fixed terminals based on the amount of displacement of the movable terminal according to the presence or absence of the card in the insertion part and the shape of the card.

Card connector

A probe is made to contact an electrode terminal in an electric circuit or an electronic part for an electric measurement of the electric circuit or the electronic part. The probe includes a terminal portion which is brought in contact with the electrode terminal at one end of the probe, a spring portion in which U-shaped unit portions are arrayed in a zigzag formation, and a housing portion which surrounds the spring portion. The probe is formed of a sheet of a sheet-metal plate which is bent multiple times, the sheet-metal plate having a predetermined configuration in which a portion corresponding to the terminal portion, a portion corresponding to the spring portion, and a portion corresponding to the housing portion are continuously linked together.

An operation device includes: an operated body; an operation signal producing part that produces an operation signal based on an operation on the operated body; and a tactile information presenting part that presents tactile information through the operated body. The operation device may be applied to an electronic book device for flipping of pages.

Operation device, electronic book device and electronic apparatus

A card connector is disclosed that includes a first housing configured to have a first card inserted thereinto to be attached thereto; a second housing configured to have a second card inserted thereinto to be attached thereto, the second housing being provided on the first housing; and multiple contact members for the second card combined with the first housing by insert molding, the contact members each having, at a first end, a contact arm part to come into contact with a terminal of the second card, and at a second end, a lead terminal part to be soldered to a pad on a board, wherein the contact arm parts are placed inside the second housing with the intermediate portions thereof fixed to part of the second housing.

Card connector and method of assembling same

An input device includes an operation portion, a holding portion, a detection portion and at least a switch. The holding portion holds the operation portion so that the operation portion is rotatable around a given axis. The detection portion detects a rotational position of the operation portion with respect to the holding portion. A condition of the switch changes according to an external force exerted to the operation portion.

Input device and electronics device

An input device includes an input pen that is capable of detecting an amount of a pen pressure applied to a pen tip. The input pen has a resistance film that alters a resistance vale thereof according to a touch area, a spring that alters the touch area between the spring and the resistance film, a pen pressure detecting circuit that detects the amount of the pen pressure applied to the pen tip based on the touch area, and an infrared output circuit that outputs the amount of the pen pressure to a receiver with the use of infrared rays. The spiral-shaped spring is configured so that a diameter may become smaller as further from the pen tip. It is thus possible to detect the amount of the pen pressure applied to the pen tip based on the touch area that varies according to a movement of the pen tip, and thereby possible to express different line widths in drawing according to the amount of the pen pressure applied to the pen tip.

Input pen and input device

A coordinates input device includes an operation unit that receives an operation input, a vibration generator that applies a vibration to the operation unit, and a vibration control unit that controls the vibration generator to apply the vibration to the operation unit when the operation input is received by the operation unit. The vibration generator includes a power feed unit provided to the operation unit, and a magnetic-field applying unit having sub-units. Each of the sub-units has first and second magnets spaced apart from each other with a given gap. The magnetic flux produced by the first and second magnets crosses a current flowing in the power feed unit.
