It is possible to reduce a noise component mixed in an analog signal while suppressing increase of power consumption. An amplification unit amplifies the inputted analog signal and converts the amplified signal into a digital signal of a predetermined format for output. The amplification unit includes: an analog circuit unit for processing an analog signal; and a digital circuit unit for processing a digital signal; wherein the circuits are arranged on a substrate. The analog circuit unit includes: an amplification circuit for amplifying the inputted analog signal; and an LPF for cutting off a high frequency component of the amplified analog signal. The digital circuit unit includes: a rectification circuit which rectifies a waveform of the signal whose high-frequency component is cut off; and digital output circuit which converts the waveform-rectified signal into a digital signal of a predetermined format for output.

A light transmission module includes an optical converter for converting an electrical signal to an optical signal; a light transmission path for transmitting the optical signal converted by the optical converter; an electrical transmission path for transmitting an input electrical signal; and a control instructing unit for instructing stop of drive to the optical converter based on a detection of an input electrical signal. When an input electrical signal having a predetermined frequency is detected, the input electrical signal having the predetermined frequency is converted to an optical signal and transmitted in the light transmission path. When input of an electrical signal other than the predetermined frequency is detected, the electrical signal other than the predetermined frequency is transmitted by the electrical transmission path without being converted to an optical signal due to the stop of the drive of the optical converter.

A semiconductor laser drive apparatus comprises a bias current setting section () which sets a bias current value on the basis of the drive temperature so that the temperature characteristic of the bias current value with respect to the drive temperature may be a linear function having a slope except zero and a drive current setting section () for setting the drive current value on the basis of the drive temperature so that the temperature characteristic of the drive current value with respect to the drive temperature may be a function having a slope except zero. The temperature characteristic of the bias current and that of the drive current are functions different from each other. With this, low cost, space-saving, and power-saving of a semiconductor laser are achieved, and a semiconductor laser drive apparatus enabling a good transmission characteristic on the reception side and a high optical output over the whole drive temperature range when driving the semiconductor laser can be provided.

A transmission device has a light emitting element for converting an electric signal to an optical signal and transmitting the same, and a drive section for outputting the optical signal from the light emitting element and driving the light emitting element by providing the electric signal to the light emitting element. The electric signal provided by the drive section to the light emitting element is a waveform deformed signal having a waveform in which a time required for a fall is longer than a time required for a rise in a binary signal having a signal of high level and a signal of low level.

A light transmission module has a light transmitting unit having a light emitting portion for outputting an optical signal corresponding to a data signal input as an electrical signal, and a first power supply controller for controlling a drive power supply of the light emitting portion, a light transmission path for transmitting the optical signal introduced from the light transmitting unit, a light receiving unit having a light receiving portion for receiving the optical signal output from the light transmission path and outputting an electrical signal corresponding to the optical signal, and a second power supply controller for controlling a drive power supply of the light receiving portion, and at least one electrical transmission path, connecting the light transmitting unit and the light receiving unit, for transmitting a control signal for controlling power supply to the light emitting portion and the light receiving portion to the first power supply controller and the second power supply controller. The first power supply controller and the second power supply controller control the power supply to the light emitting portion and the light receiving portion based on the control signal input via the electrical transmission path.

Optical transmission module and electronic device

A fixed voltage and a movable electrode are placed face to face with each other, and an insulating film is formed on the surface of the fixed electrode. The insulating film is made of a nitride film (SiN) as a main material, with oxide films (SiO) being formed on the front and rear surfaces of the nitride film. Moreover, a plurality of protrusions are formed on an area facing the movable electrode of the upper face of the insulating film. The charge quantity in the insulating film is mainly determined by a film thickness of the oxide film, and the nitride film is used for maintaining a sufficient film thickness required for the voltage proof characteristic. Thereby, it is possible to suppress variations in operational voltage characteristics such as on-voltage and off-voltage in an electrostatic actuator so as to prevent phenomena in which the electrostatic actuator fails to turn on even when a rated voltage is applied to the electrostatic actuator and in which the electrostatic actuator fails to turn off even when the driving voltage is turned off.
