An energy treatment tool includes: a first gripping piece and second gripping piece that are coupled so as to be relatively opened and closed, the first and second gripping pieces respectively having a first gripping surface and a second gripping surface that are opposed to each other in a closed state and treating, by energy, living tissue gripped between the first and second gripping surfaces; and an alignment part that is provided on the first and second gripping pieces and that aligns the first and second gripping surfaces with each other in a process of closing the first and second gripping pieces, wherein at least one of the first and second gripping surfaces includes a treatment surface that emits energy, and the alignment part is provided at a position other than the treatment surface.

A medical manipulator includes: an elongated support member; an end effector that is supported at a distal end of the support member so as to be movable in a longitudinal axial direction; a first pulling pulley that is supported so as to be rotatable about a first shaft that is secured to the end effector and that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis; and a first wire that is wound around the first pulling pulley so as to cause, when a proximal end thereof is pulled, tensile forces in substantially the same directions to act on the first pulling pulley on either side of the first pulling pulley flanking the first shaft.

A stapler according to the present invention is provided with: a holder provided with an accommodating portion that accommodates a plurality of staples with tips thereof, which pass through a suturing target, directed in one direction; a plurality of pushers that push out the staples accommodated in the accommodating portion in accordance with a plurality of groups thereof; an anvil that presses and deforms the staples pushed out from the accommodating portion by the pushers; driving-force transmitting mechanisms that are respectively connected to the individual pushers, in which the movement thereof in directions other than the directions in which the staples are pushed out is restricted at the individual connection portions, and that transmit driving forces that move the individual pushers toward the anvil.
