A polycarbonate resin composition for a thin optical component is provided, which has a high transmittance and a good hue and an excellent resistance to thermal discoloration, and a thin optical component is also provided. The polycarbonate resin composition for a thin optical component comprising, per 100 mass parts of a polycarbonate resin (A), 0.1 to 2 mass parts of a polyalkylene ether glycol compound (B) represented by general formula (1) and 0.005 to 0.5 mass parts of a phosphorus stabilizer (C). 

The present invention provides a polycarbonate resin composition for molding a molded article having a thin-walled section and exhibiting a high level of flame resistance and impact resistance, and an excellent surface appearance (low-gloss property). More specifically, the present invention is a polycarbonate resin composition for molding a polycarbonate resin molded article having a thin-walled section with a wall thickness of 0.6 mm or less, the polycarbonate resin composition being characterized in that the resin composition contains an oligomeric phosphoric acid ester flame retardant (B1) and/or a phosphazene flame retardant (B2), and the content of flame retardant with respect to 100 parts by mass of polycarbonate resin (A) is: i) 5 to 20 parts by mass when the resin composition contains only the oligomeric phosphoric acid ester flame retardant (B1); ii) 10 to 30 parts by mass when the resin composition contains only the phosphazene flame retardant (B2); or iii) a total of 5 to 30 parts by mass when the resin composition contains both the oligomeric phosphoric acid ester flame retardant (B1) and the phosphazene flame retardant (B2), with the content ratio thereof being 1 to 49 mass % of (B1) and 99 to 51 mass % of (B2), the resin composition additionally contains 3 to 15 parts by mass of a siloxane-based core/shell elastomer (C) and 0.8 to 10 parts by mass of carbon black (D) with respect to 100 parts by mass of polycarbonate resin (A), the siloxane-based core/shell elastomer (C) has a silicon content of 9.1 to 30 mass % and a number-average particle size in the range of 50 to 1,000 nm, and the flow rate per unit time of the resin composition is 15 to 50 &#xd7;10cm/sec.

A polycarbonate resin composition is provided, which exhibits a high flame retardancy, a high impact resistance, and an excellent thermal stability. The polycarbonate resin composition is characterized by containing, per 100 mass parts of (A) a polycarbonate resin, 0.001 to 1 mass part of (B) a metal organosulfonate salt and 0.5 to 5 mass parts of (C) a core/shell graft copolymer that has an Si content of at least 300 ppm and that has a butadienic rubber component for the core, and per 100 mass parts of the core/shell graft copolymer (C), 0.1 to 3 mass parts of (D) a metal salt of an organophosphate ester.
