Electrical connector with fixed front mask on housing with multiple terminals

A terminal coupled to an end of an electric wire on a front side with respect to an extending direction in which the electric wire extends. The terminal includes a terminal body including a holding section holding the electric wire and a slider slidable relative to the terminal body in the extending direction. The slider includes a pressing portion that presses the holding section toward the electric wire. The terminal body is formed from a folded metal sheet. The holding section includes a holding protrusion that protrudes toward the electric wire and contacts the electric wire. The holding protrusion is formed from a folded metal sheet.

Terminal and terminal wire assembly

A terminal-equipped wire is provided with a wire including a conductor, a terminal to be connected to the conductor, and a shell to be mounted on the terminal. The terminal includes a grip portion for sandwiching the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion for pressing at least a part of the grip portion toward the conductor. The grip portion has a Sn—Ni alloy layer. The Sn—Ni alloy layer includes locally projecting protrusions. The protrusions bite into the conductor.

Terminal-equipped wire

A terminal-equipped electric wire includes an electric wire that includes a conductor, a terminal connected to the conductor, and a shell attached to the terminal. The conductor has a nominal cross-sectional area of 0.13 mmor less. The terminal includes a grip portion that pinches the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion that presses at least a portion of the grip portion toward the conductor. At least one of the conductor and the grip portion includes a tin layer, and an oxide coating formed on the surface of the tin layer. An adhering portion formed of a portion of tin contained in the tin layer that passes through the oxide coating and pours out onto a surface of the oxide coating. The adhering portion has an area of 0.100 mmor more.

Terminal-equipped electric wire

A terminal-equipped electric wire includes an electric wire that includes a conductor, a terminal connected to the conductor, and a shell attached to the terminal. The terminal includes a grip portion that pinches the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion that presses at least a portion of the grip portion toward the conductor. The grip portion and the conductor are joined with an alloy layer. The alloy layer contains a Cu&#x2014;Sn alloy.

A male terminal to be accommodated into a cavity of a housing includes a plate-like tab formed in a front end part, and a box portion in the form of a rectangular tube connected to a rear part of the tab and open rearward. A front end part of the box portion includes a contact portion configured to come into contact with an inner wall of the cavity from behind and a supporting portion located behind the contact portion. The contact portion has a contact surface constituted by a plate surface of a metal plate material constituting the box portion and the contact surface comes into contact with the inner wall of the cavity. The supporting portion supports the contact portionfrom a side opposite to the contact surface when the contact portion comes into contact with the inner wall of the cavity.

Male connector provided with housing that accomodates male terminal

A connector includes a housing () with a lever () that is rotatable between an initial position and a connection end position for connection to a mating housing (). The lever () includes a resilient piece () cantilevered parallel to the outer surface () of the housing (). A projecting wall () projects toward the resilient piece () from a peripheral wall () surrounding the resilient piece (). The resilient piece () has a locking surface (A) extending toward a base of the resilient piece (), and the housing () has a locked surface (A) extending toward a tip of the resilient piece (). The resilient piece () enters a clearance between the projecting wall () and the outer surface of the housing () when the lever () is urged from the initial position to the connection end position with the locking surface (A) locked to the locked surface (A).

Lever-type connector

A connector () into which a mating connector (female connector) is fittable from front includes a tubular receptacle () having a forwardly open fitting opening () capable of accommodating the mating connector () fit through the fitting opening (). A drainage recess () penetrate in a direction perpendicular to a front-rear direction at a position retracted from the fitting opening () in the receptacle (). Partitioning ridges () are at positions retracted from the fitting opening () and project in a direction intersecting the front-rear direction from the receptacle (). A front end (first rib endA) of some partitioning ridge (first rib) is coupled to and flush with a back wall () of the drainage recess ().

Connector

A male connector () to be covered together with a board (P) by a case (C) with the male connector () connected to the board (P). The male connector () includes a male housing () connectable to a female connector () and including a back wall (A) partitioning between the outside of the case (C) on the side of the female connector () and the inside of the case (C) on the side of the board (P) while extending in a vertical direction. The back wall (A) has an opening () open in a connecting direction of the female connector () and allowing communication between the outside and inside of the case (C). A step is provided on an edge of the opening () so that an upper edge (A) of the opening () is more forward than a lower edge (B) of the opening ().

A connector includes a housing () that is connectable to a mating connector by rotating a lever () from an initial position to a connection position on the housing (). The lever () has two arm plates () coupled by an operating portion (). Ridge pieces () are on facing surfaces of the arm plates (). Front and rear rails (A,B) extend perpendicular to a pull-out direction of wires to guide the ridge piece () laterally. An introducing portion () is open on one end of the rear rail (B) to receive the ridge piece () between the rails (A,B) from a position behind the housing (). An escaping portion enables the ridge piece () to rotate from a position between the rails to the position behind the housing () as the lever () is rotated from the connection position to the initial position.

Electrical connector

A joint connector () collectively connects wires to a body (B) of a vehicle. The joint connector () has a conductive plate () with a main body () including a plurality of terminals (B) to be connected to female terminals at ends of the wires and to be bolt-fastened to the body (B). A housing () is arranged around the terminals (B). The conductive plate () includes a coupling portion (A) for coupling the terminals (B) to each other, a bolt fastening portion () with a bolt hole () through which a ground bolt (B) is to be inserted, a rotation preventing piece () at a side of the bolt fastening portion () opposite to the coupling (A) to prevent rotation of the main body (), and ribs continuous from the rotation preventing piece () to the coupling (A) across the main body ().
