A contactless feeding pad includes a power-receiving side pad, a power-transmitting side pad, and an auxiliary pad. The power-transmitting side pad is different from the power-receiving side pad in size or shape and transmits electric power contactlessly to the power-receiving side pad while being situated oppositely to the power-receiving side pad. The auxiliary pad is installed between the power-transmitting side pad and the power-receiving side pad in close proximity to the power-transmitting side pad or the power-receiving side pad and forms a resonance circuit.

Contactless feeding pad and contactless feeding device

A contactless power supply system for transferring power without contact between a primary side coil and a secondary side coil is provided. In the contactless power supply system, a manipulation unit manipulates a secondary side converter so that power outputted to a load is controlled to be a command value. The manipulation unit manipulates an input voltage of a primary side resonance circuit so that a current flowing in the primary side resonance circuit equals a product of a current flowing in the secondary side resonance circuit and a current coefficient. The current coefficient is defined as a square root of a specific value and the specific value is an equivalent resistance of the secondary side resonance circuit divided by an equivalent resistance of the primary side resonance circuit.

Contactless power supply controller and contactless power supply system

A metal object detection device includes a plurality of detection coils, a capacitor configuring a resonant circuit in cooperation with each of at least two of the detection coils, a first series connection body, a second series connection body, a voltage applying unit, and a processing unit. The voltage applying unit applies an AC voltage to both ends of each of the first series connection body and the second series connection body. The processing unit performs a process for detecting the metal object on the basis of a potential difference between a connection point included in the first series connection body and a connection point included in the second series connection body.

A battery charge control apparatus for a vehicle, where the vehicle is provided with a prime mover driven by using fuel stored in the vehicle, power generation means for converting energy generated by the prime mover using the fuel into electrical energy, and a secondary battery that stores the electrical energy generated by the power generation means. The apparatus includes temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the battery, and battery-charge limiting means for limiting storing of the electrical energy generated by the power generation means into the battery when the temperature of the battery detected by the temperature detection means is low. This leads to enhancement of fuel usage efficiency of the engine.

Battery charge control apparatus

A non-contact power supply control device controls power supply to transmit power in a non-contact manner from a ground-side power supply section provided outside a vehicle traveling using stored power to a vehicle-side power receiving section provided to the vehicle. A detection unit detects a living body at the periphery of the ground-side power supply section. A control unit restricts the power supply in a case where the detection unit detects the living body at the periphery of the ground-side power supply section during the power supply operation to the vehicle-side power receiving section.

Non-contact power supply control device, non-contact power supply system, and non-contact power charge system

A waste heat controller controls waste heat quantity of an engine according to a required heat quantity along with a heat-utilize requirement. When the heat-utilize requirement is generated, a fuel-increase-rate indicating a fuel increase quantity is computed. A reference fuel-increase-rate is established to be compared with the fuel-increase-rate. Based on this comparison result, it is determined whether the waste heat increase control will be executed.

Controller for engine

A request heat calculation unit calculates a request heat power requested to heat sources to supply. A heat cost calculation unit calculates a relationship between a heat power supplied from each of the heat sources and a heat cost, which is a fuel quantity consumed to supply a unit heat power. An abnormal source detection unit detects an abnormal heat source, which cannot normally supply a heat power, from the heat sources. An abnormal heat calculation unit calculates an abnormal heat power supplied from the abnormal heat source. A determination unit determines distribution of heat power supplied from the heat sources based on both the relationship and the abnormal heat power, such that a sum of the heat power supplied from the heat sources coincides with the request heat power, and the heat cost of all the heat sources is minimized.

Vehicle heat source control device and method for controlling vehicle heat source

A hybrid vehicle control ECU calculates an estimated EV travelable distance based on a minimum travel cost and a usable charge amount of a battery, when a next external charge point, at which an external power source is available for charging, is set. The minimum travel cost indicates a minimum value of electric power amount consumed by a battery when a vehicle travels a unit distance. If the estimated EV travelable distance is longer, electric motor travel is selected estimating that it is possible to reach the next external charge point. If a remaining distance is longer and a present SOC is higher than a usable SOC lower limit, hybrid travel is selected. If the present SOC is lower than the usable SOC lower limit, a constant SOC travel is selected.

Vehicle drive power generation control apparatus

A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle computes estimated energy and external charge energy. The estimated energy is required to drive a vehicle to travel a planned travel route and an EV priority mode, in which drive power for the vehicle is generated with priority by a motor/generator by supplying electric power from a battery to the motor/generator. The external charge energy is supplied from an electric power source. The control apparatus checks whether the estimated required energy will be supplied fully by the external charge energy. If the full supply is not possible, the control apparatus causes electric power generation by the motor/generator at some point in the planned travel route, where the efficiency of electric power generation is good, thereby to supplement insufficiency of energy.

Control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle

Past limit electric power generation costs and past limit electric assist costs are stored as pieces of planning information, based on each of which a fuel consumption amount is estimated assuming that a vehicle travels according to a past traveling pattern. An average estimated fuel consumption amount is computed by averaging the fuel consumption amounts estimated for the pieces of planning information. The piece of planning information including the lowest average estimated fuel consumption amount is selected for the next traveling. An improvement amount during electric power generation and an improvement amount during assistance are computed based on the selected piece of planning information (limit electric power generation cost), the limit electric assist cost, and the present generating and electric assist costs required actually while the vehicle is traveling. An engine and a motor/generator of the vehicle are controlled based on the two improvement amounts.

In an air-conditioning system for a vehicle, which has multiple heat sources (an evaporator and a heat accumulator), either one of the heat sources, for which the input energy amount for the unit cooling capacity is smaller than that for the other heat source, is preferentially used for performing the cooling operation, an energy amount for the air-conditioning operation can be reduced.

Multiple cooling sources for a vehicle air conditioning system

The vehicle-use power supply apparatus includes an alternator driven by an engine mounted on a vehicle to generate electric power in accordance with a command value, a battery electrically connected to the alternator to be charged by the alternator, and connected to electrical loads mounted on the vehicle to apply a power supply voltage to the electrical loads. The vehicle-use power supply apparatus further includes a first function of determining, as a power generation cost, an increase amount of fuel which the engine consumes for the alternator to generate electric power, and a second function of transmitting the command value to the alternator, the second function being configured to determine the command value on the basis of the power generation cost determined by the first function such that a change rate of the power supply voltage does not exceed a predetermined limit value.

Vehicle-use power supply apparatus

A power supply control apparatus for controlling an electric generator of a vehicle limits the rate of change of a power supply voltage to a predetermined variation rate range, when the change is caused by operations to control the charge condition of the vehicle battery, and controls the generated power to match the drive torque applied by the engine to the generator. When the electrical load demand changes, the generated power is controlled to limit a resultant momentary change in the power supply voltage caused by an engine response delay, while minimizing a resultant momentary amount of engine speed variation.

Electrical power supply system for motor vehicle

A method for controlling a vehicular electric system having multiple power sources including an engine-driven generator. The power sources for supplying power to charge an onboard battery are determined based on difference between the power generation cost of each power source and that for generating an amount of power charged in the battery. Furthermore, amounts power to be supplied to the batteryfor charge is determined based on the amount of power currently charged in the battery.
