A controller for a hybrid vehicle predicts whether necessary discharging electric power from a power storage device which is required to perform downshift in a transmission exceeds upper-limit discharging electric power of the power storage device when downshift in the transmission is performed in a hybrid vehicle travel mode and controls a compressor rotation speed such that a rate of increase of the compressor rotation speed of a supercharger at the time of performing downshift in the transmission increases as the upper-limit discharging electric power decreases when it is predicted that the necessary discharging electric power exceeds the upper-limit discharging electric power.

Controller and control method for hybrid vehicle

A vehicle includes driving wheels, driven wheels, a drive device connected to a drive shaft, a drive force distribution device, and an electronic control unit configured to execute a moderate change process on a required torque required for the drive shaft to set a target torque to be output to the drive shaft when the torque output to the drive shaft changes and crosses a value of zero. The electronic control unit is configured to control the drive device such that the target torque is output to the drive shaft, and set the target torque such that a change in the target torque with respect to a change in the required torque is more moderate when the driving side distribution ratio is small compared with the change in the target torque with respect to the change in the required torque when the driving side distribution ratio is large.

Vehicle and control method of the same

In a vehicle condition in which an engine rotation speed is likely to exceed a maximum rotation speed, since supercharging by a supercharger is curbed, it is possible to curb an increase in an engine torque. Even when the engine rotation speed exceeds the maximum rotation speed, the engine rotation speed is made less likely to increase by control of decreasing the engine torque. In a vehicle condition in which the engine rotation speed is less likely to exceed the maximum rotation speed, since a supercharging pressure becomes relatively high, it becomes easier to secure power performance. Accordingly, it is possible to curb a decrease in power performance due to curbing of supercharging and to prevent an engine from falling into a high-rotation state in which the engine rotation speed exceeds the maximum rotation speed.

A control apparatus for a power transmitting system of a vehicle includes a drive mode control portion for selectively establishing one of first and second engine-braking drive modes in which a braking torque of the engine is applied to the vehicle. A hybrid vehicle driving apparatus includes: an engine; a first rotator; a second rotator; a first differential mechanism configured to transmit a rotation of the engine to a driving wheel side; and a switching device configured to shift the first differential mechanism. The first rotator is coaxially disposed with the engine, the second rotator is disposed with the engine, the second rotator is disposed on a different axis from an axis of the engine to constitute a multiple-axis system, the first differential mechanism is coaxially disposed with and between the engine and the first rotator, and the switching device is disposed at an opposite side from the engine with respect to the first rotator.

A vehicle using a first MG, a second MG, and an engine as drive sources includes an electric oil pump, a mechanical oil pump driven by power of the engine, and a hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic circuit includes first oil passages for supplying oil to the first MG, a second oil passage for supplying oil to the second MG, a switch-over valve capable of switching over states of communication of the first oil passage, and a switch control valve that outputs pilot hydraulic pressure to the switch-over valve. States of the switch-over valve are switched over in accordance with hydraulic pressure from the switch control valve and hydraulic pressure from the mechanical pump.
