A noble metal adsorption agent includes algae or residue of algae having an amino group as a functional group. A noble metal is retrieved by a method including: adsorbing the noble metal on the noble metal adsorption agent; and retrieving the noble metal. The noble metal is solved in a liquid. Thus, by using the noble metal adsorption agent, the noble metal is selectively retrieved.

There is provided a novel transition metal phosphine complex having excellent anticancer activity. The transition metal phosphine complex is represented by general formula (1): (wherein Rs and Rs each represent an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a pyridyl group, or a pyrimidyl group; Rs and Rs each represent an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group, provided that each Rand each Rare not the same group and that each Rand each Rare not the same group; As each represent a linear alkylene group or a cis-vinylene group; M represents a gold atom, a silver atom, a copper atom, or a platinum atom; and B represents an anionic species).
