A servo driver is provided with a housing, a substantially cylindrical capacitor, and a case body in which the capacitor is stored. The case body has a substantially box-like shape formed by being provided with an opening portion that makes it possible to take in and out the capacitor with respect to the case body along a direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the capacitor, and is assembled to the housing so that the opening portion is covered with a closing portion that is a part of the housing. An elastically deformable cushion material is interposed between the closing portion and the capacitor. While being elastically biased to a bottom portion of the case body, the capacitor is thereby sandwiched and held between the closing portion and the bottom portion.

An object of the invention is to provide a dual-purpose X-ray imaging apparatus capable of partial CT imaging in addition to panoramic tomographic imaging. Another object of the invention is to provide a dedicated partial X-ray CT imaging apparatus. An X-ray imaging apparatus comprises an X-ray source 28 which irradiates an object with X-rays; an image sensor 38 which detects X-rays having passed through the object; a support arm 24 which supports the X-ray source 28 and the image sensor 38; and a plurality of motors for moving the support arm 24. The controlling circuit controls the gain adjusting circuit on the basis of the detected image density of the image sensor. When the adjustment by means of the gain adjusting circuit is insufficient, the controlling circuit controls X-ray tube current, X-ray tube voltage and driving speed adjusters.

A digital X-ray imaging apparatus comprises an X-ray generator 6 for generating X-rays toward a subject, an X-ray imaging device 7 for detecting an image of X-rays having passed through the subject, a swivel member 4 and a horizontal movement means 8 provided with the X-ray generator 6 and the X-ray imaging device 7 opposed to each other to relatively move the X-ray generator 6 and the X-ray imaging device 7 with respect to the subject, a CPU 21 for producing a tomographic image in accordance with an imaging signal from the X-ray imaging device 7, frame memories and an image display unit 26 for displaying the tomographic image. The X-ray imaging device 7 includes a MOS image sensor having a plurality of two-dimensional light-receiving pixels. With this configuration, a tomographic image along a given tomographic plane can be produced by a signal X-ray imaging operation, and the imaging sensitivity of the digital X-ray imaging apparatus can be enhanced.

Images are to be satisfactorily continued even at joints of image regions. The surface of a fluorescent screen on which an X-ray image is to be formed is partitioned in the longitudinal direction of a slit, into image regions. From the image regions, image information is guided to CCD imaging elements by optical fiber bundles. Boundaries of the image regions are formed so as to be inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of a slit.

The present invention provides an X-ray tomographic imaging apparatus, wherein image degrading components caused by a CCD sensor (3c) or the like are reduced so as to obtain high-quality X-ray images. After tomographic imaging, dark current noise is eliminated by subtracting dark current correction data from a specific line of data among image data stored in an image memory. Next, sensitivity correction coefficients are prepared on the basis of data obtained when an X-ray beam having nearly uniform intensity distribution enters an X-ray imaging device 3. The image data obtained after dark current correction is then multiplied by the sensitivity correction coefficients. As a result, noise due to sensitivity variations or the like can be eliminated.

The present invention provides a panoramic imaging apparatus capable of obtaining a clear tomographic image even when the rotation speed of a swivel member changes. The clock for driving an FFT CCD device in accordance with the TDI method is set on the basis of the angular speed .omega. of the arm detected by a tachogenerator and a function value f (.theta.) which responds to the rotation angle .theta. of the swivel member detected by an angle detector and used to determine a tomographic orbit. The angle detector is provided with a cam having a shape having been set in accordance with the relationship between the rotation angle .theta. and the film feeding speed at the time of performing X-ray panoramic imaging by using photographic films. The signal of the angular speed .omega. and the signal of the function value f (.theta.) corresponding to the angle .theta. are added by an analog multiplier, and subjected to frequency modulation by a V/F converter to create a TDI clock.

A medical X-ray image processing apparatus, comprising an X-ray sensor which converts an image of X-rays penetrated an object into an electric signal using a solid-state image sensor and a data processor which processes the electric signal to generate an electric image signal corresponding to the X-ray image, compares the data of each picture element derived from the above-mentioned solid-state image sensor with the data of picture elements being adjacent to the picture element and present within a certain region, and corrects the data of the picture element referring to the data of the above-mentioned adjacent picture elements only when the data of the picture element is exceptionally different from the data of the adjacent picture elements by a predetermined reference value or more. Consequently, the apparatus eliminates only the exceptionally large noise, such as spike noise caused by the X-rays having directly reached the solid-state image sensor and also caused by the secondary X-rays, thereby being capable of generating images having high resolution.

A planigraphic X-ray apparatus comprising a rotation mechanism for rotating a support member which supports an X-ray generator and an X-ray detection surface to rotate the X-ray generator and the X-ray detection surface around a subject, a position adjustment mechanism for setting the position of the rotation center of the support member rotated by the rotation mechanism and a linear movement means for moving the support member in the direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray generator, whereby the X-ray detection surface is driven in the direction opposite to the movement of the linear movement means and the X-ray generator is rotated toward the X-ray detection surface in synchronization with the movement of the linear movement means. The position adjustment mechanism and the rotation mechanism are used only to set the position and direction of the support member with respect to the subject, and planigraphic photographing is possible only by moving the support member using a linear movement means exclusively provided for the support member, thereby facilitating the positioning operation of the support member with respect to a given planigraphic plane, simplifying the control program and making the entire apparatus compact and inexpensive.

A medical X-ray tomographing apparatus, wherein the output end surfaces of a plurality of optical fiber bundles are optically coupled to the image pickup surfaces of vertically long solid-state image pickup devices, such as one-dimensional image sensors, and the input end surfaces of a plurality of the optical fiber bundles having a vertically long cross-sectional shape being identical to that of the output end surfaces thereof are optically coupled individually to a plurality of vertically long divisions obtained by dividing the fluorescent surface of a scintillator in the width direction thereof. With this apparatus, it is not necessary to significantly contract the size of the image on the fluorescent surface, thereby remarkably reducing the number of the solid-state image pickup devices and the number of the divisions of the fluorescent surface.

A rotational tomographic X-ray apparatus is disclosed as having an X-ray detection surface disposed parallel to a planigraphic plane selected as a subject to be photographed, and comprising a mechanism for linearly moving the X-ray generator and the X-ray detection surface of the apparatus in relatively opposite directions parallel to the planigraphic plane with the head of a patient positioned therebetween, and for controlling the irradiation direction of X-rays so that the irradiated X-rays always pass the same specific region in the planigraphic plane and are incident on the X-ray detection surface in synchronization with the linear movement. With this apparatus, clear planigraphic photographing with no distortion is possible and the magnifying ratios of X-ray images can be changed easily.
