There is provided a toner binder containing a polyester resin (P) composed of two or more polyester resins that are each obtained by polycondensation of a carboxylic acid component (x) and an alcohol component (y). The alcohol component (y) of at least one polyester resin (P1) constituting the polyester resin (P) comprises 30 to 100 molar % of an adduct (y1) of bisphenol A with 2 to 4 ethylene oxide molecules. The alcohol component (y) of at least one other polyester resin (P2) constituting the polyester resin (P) comprises 50 to 95 molar % of an aliphatic diol (y2) having 2 to 4 carbon atoms. The (P2) is other than the (P1), and the polyester resin (P) satisfies relationships as follows. 11.5&#x2266;SP value [(cal/cm)] of (P)&#x2266;13.0; and 5.2&#x2266;HLB value (according to the Oda method) of (P)&#x2266;7.1.

Methods and apparatuses for dispensing samples or reagents onto a target object are provided. A dispensing position designating section () designates the dispensing position on the target object (), such as a membrane, based on an image of the target object () displayed on a monitoring section (). A dispensing control section () positions the target object and the dispensing device relative to each other so that the designated dispensing position on the target object is placed beneath the dispensing device () and controls the dispensing operation of the dispensing device (). For automating the operation of an electrophoresis apparatus and improving the throughput, the present electrophoresis apparatus has two platens capable of controlling temperature of electrophoresis plates placed thereon, a loading medium charging unit for sending a loading medium under pressure, a loading medium charging nozzle mechanism having a pair of nozzles connected to the loading medium charging unit, a pipetter mechanism for dispensing samples to sample dispensing openings of the electrophoresis plates placed on the platens, a stacker mechanism for storing sample plates, a loading buffer solution supplying mechanism, a loading buffer solution dispensing mechanism connected to the loading buffer solution supplying mechanism, a power unit for allowing electrophoresis separation for each electrophoresis plate placed on the platens, and a detector for optically detecting components migrating through each electrophoresis flow channel of the electrophoresis plates.
