A fuel pressure control device determines whether it is during a descending period of a plunger descending or an ascending period of the plunger ascending, and puts a first drive mechanism and a second drive mechanism in an energized state during the descending period and in a non-energized state during the ascending period, when there is a pressure reduction request to lower a fuel pressure in a high-pressure passage.

Fuel pressure control device

A needle has a large-diameter portion, an outer diameter of which is larger than that of a shaft portion of the needle. A needle-side tapered surface is formed at the large-diameter portion on a valve closing side thereof, wherein the needle-side tapered surface is inclined by a needle angle with respect to a center axis of the needle. A core-side tapered surface is formed at a movable core, wherein the core-side tapered surface is inclined by a core angle with respect to the center axis of the needle. The needle and the movable core are brought into contact with each other via the needle-side and the core-side tapered surfaces. The needle angle and the core angle are made to be equal to each other.

Fuel injection valve

An object of the invention is to provide a technology enabling to determine the saturation vapor pressure of used fuel in a fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine equipped with a low pressure fuel pump and a high pressure fuel pump. In the invention, to achieve the object, in the fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine that controls the duty cycle of the high pressure fuel pump by proportional-integral control based on the difference between the discharge pressure of the high pressure fuel pump and a target pressure, generation of vapor is detected based on a tendency of change in an integral term used in the proportional integral control, and the saturation vapor pressure of used fuel is calculated from the fuel temperature and the engine speed at that time.
