In an interdental cleaning tool, a flexible cleaning portion including a core covering portion that covers a core base, and a plurality of recesses that are formed due to hold pins during insert molding. The recesses are formed along a longitudinal direction of the core base portion. A core base exposed portion of each recess has a shape elongated in an oblique direction that intersects both the longitudinal direction and a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and, at a position where a dimension of the core base exposed portion in the longitudinal direction is maximum, the maximum dimension is 0.25 mm or less.

Interdental cleaning tool

To provide a method for manufacturing an interdental cleaning tool that can prevent deformation of a core base at molding of a cleaning flexible part using an elastomer material, thereby effectively preventing occurrence of molding failure of the cleaning flexible part. Method for manufacturing an interdental cleaning tool and the interdental cleaning tool

Provided is an interdental cleaning tool which has a simple configuration and can effectively prevent an occurrence of breakage of a core base portion when inserting the interdental cleaning tool into an interdental space or during interdental cleaning without reducing productivity of the interdental cleaning tool, and provided is a method for manufacturing the interdental cleaning tool. Method for manufacturing interdental cleaning device

Provided is an interdental brush having a wire and filaments arranged therein by folding the wire and disposing the filaments between the wire and then twisting the wire. The interdental brush has improved filament retention and improved cleaning effectivity and reachability to minute portions. Each of filamentshas a polygonal cross section whose at least one corner portion has an interior angleas acute as 30 to 75 degrees. Specifically, an angle &#x3b8;of the acute corner portionis set at 1.2 to 3 times a twisting angle &#x3b8;of the wire. The filaments each have two or more such acute corner portions, and two or more rows of such filaments are disposed and laminated between the wire in a densely arranged manner.

Provided is a core/sheath composite filament for toothbrushes which exhibits excellent hardness, durability and feeling of use when used in toothbrushes, is less prone to falling out when tufted into the tufting plate, and makes it possible to improve stain-removal properties. Also provided is a toothbrush using said core/sheath composite filament. A toothbrush is configured using bundles of bristles configured from core/sheath composite filaments that have a quadrangular cross section in the plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction and comprise a core (), which is formed from a synthetic resin fiber, and a sheath (), which integrally covers the core () and is formed from an elastomer that is compatible with the synthetic resin constituting the core (). Tufts configured from a plurality of the core/sheath composite filaments () are tufted in the center portion of a tufting plate.
