Provided is a method for producing a temporary prosthesis that can be easily performed at a dental clinic and that at the same time enables fabrication of a temporary prosthesis that is less susceptible to wear and damage. The present invention is achieved by fabricating an occlusal surface with a dental composite resin that has higher strength compared to a conventional room temperature polymerization resin. The method includes fabricating a prosthesis model, using an impression material to take an impression of a prepared tooth model having the prosthesis model mounted thereon, applying a layer of dental composite resin material to a portion that is to become a crown within the impression that has been removed from the prepared tooth model and polymerizing the composite resin material, putting a powder-liquid mixture of a powder-liquid type room temperature polymerization resin into the impression, refitting the prepared tooth model to the impression, and curing the room temperature polymerization resin.

To make a color tone similar to that of dentin of a tooth at a low cost without discoloration when baking, a dental ceramics material is produced by: mixing a pink coloring agent and a yellow coloring agent with zirconium oxide containing a stabilizer while having a mixing ratio of 0.001 to 5 wt. % respectively; and baking it, where the pink coloring agent is obtained by dissolving manganese oxide in aluminum oxide as a solid solution, the yellow coloring agent is obtained by dissolving vanadium oxide in zirconium oxide as a solid solution, the zirconium oxide contains 0.1 to 30 wt. % aluminum oxide if necessary, the stabilizer is one or more kinds selected from a group including yttrium oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, and cerium oxide, and the content thereof is preferably 3 to 7 wt. %.

The invention relates to a method for bleaching teeth in which a solution of a nitrogen-doped titanium oxide powder is contacted on a surface of the teeth and the surface of the teeth is irradiated to bleach the surface of the teeth-by activating a photocatalytic reaction.

A dental paste-like porcelain is disclosed, including a mixture in a paste-like state of from 7 to 45 parts by weight of a binder comprising a synthetic and/or natural, hydrophilic group-containing polymeric material dissolved in one or two or more organic solvents selected from a dihydric or trihydric alcohol, a hydroxyl group-remaining ether and a hydroxy(meth) acrylate, and/or water and having a viscosity, as measured at a constant temperature of 23&deg; C. and at a conversion constant of 1.61&times;10 under the conditions that a revolution number is 1 rpm, of from 50,000 to 1,500,000 cps, andaporcelain powder as a remainder, with a total amount being 100 parts by weight. The dental paste-like porcelain according to the invention does not require a condensation procedure. Accordingly, even a beginner can easily carry out the porcelain application of prostheses over a wide range including from a single crown to a bridge, without necessity of the skill. Further, since the dental paste-like porcelain of the present invention is a paste having no porosity incorporated therein and is stable during the present preservation over a long period of time. Moreover, it is hardly dried and hardened during the use and enables to grasp the shade.

A dental material comprising a porous ceramics formed into an artificial tooth, an inlay, an onlay, a crown, a crown bridge or into a block shape suitable for CAD/CAM, sintered, having communicating holes, and impregnated with a resin. A porous ceramics formed from a network-forming oxide is applicable, and an intermediate oxide and a network-modifying oxide may also be adopted. The porous ceramics should preferably have a porosity within a range of from 0.5 to 70%. The resin should preferably a polymer of a monomer and/or oligomer containing at least an ethylenic double bond. Prior to impregnation of the porous ceramics with the resin, the porous ceramics should preferably be subjected to a coupling treatment.
