An imaging apparatus with an exposure controlling mechanism being made to define an iris aperture by moving iris blades on surfaces perpendicular to an optical axis, wherein the exposure controlling mechanism includes a first iris blade to which a first ND filter having at least two levels of transmissivity is attached, a second iris blade to which no ND filter is attached, and a third iris blade to which a second ND filter having a single transmissivity is attached, and the first to the third iris blades are made to differ respectively in amounts and phases of their displacements caused by an operation of a driving means.

Imaging apparatus with exposure controlling mechanism

A video tape recorder having a tape tensioning mechanism for tensioning a magnetic tape drawn out of a tape cassette. The tape tensioning mechanism has a tensioning arm rotatably mounted on a movable Chassis, a tensioning pin for contacting the tape to tension the tape when the tape has been loaded in a predetermined tape path, a tightening lever movably mounted on the movable chassis, and a tension spring for urging the tensioning arm in a direction of rotation to bring the tensioning pin into contact with the tape. A pusher is fixedly mounted on a fixed chassis for pushing the tightening lever to tighten the tension spring substantially at the same time that the magnetic tape is loaded in the predetermined tape path. When the magnetic tape is not loaded in the tape path, the tightening lever is released from the pusher to loosen the tension spring.

A cylindrical core with toroidal windings at angularly spaced locations on the core, for example, as in the stator of a brushless, slotless DC motor for a record player or tape recorder, is formed of a plurality of annular core elements each having an axial slot and initially being axially superposed with the respective slots in axial alignment. The windings are conveniently formed individually on respective bobbins which are dimensioned to pass through the axially aligned slots for installation on the superposed core elements, whereupon, the latter are preferably turned relative to each other for angularly offsetting the respective slots and thereby minimizing the turbulence of magnetic flux that can result therefrom.
