An object is to obtain an electron beam-curable printing ink composition that maintains such basic properties as curability, adhesion, scratch resistance, etc., without containing any traditional polymerization initiator. As a solution, an electron beam-curable printing ink composition is provided that contains dimethylpolysiloxane by 0.1 to 3.5% by mass relative to the total composition.

Provided is an active energy ray-curable ink composition for offset printing capable of achieving superior gloss of printed matter. The ink composition comprises a compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein a group of materials having no ethylenically unsaturated bonds, having a specified SP value, and exhibiting a liquid state at room temperature is added to the ink composition up to the upper limit depending on the SP value. The present invention provides an active energy ray-curable ink composition for offset printing which can maintain excellent drying characteristics with a small dose of UV light. The active energy ray-curable offset printing ink composition includes a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator, a colorant, and an extender pigment. The extender pigment has a median diameter (d50) of 1.0 to 2.0 &#x3bc;m measured by laser diffractometry. Printing with a reduced slurring phenomenon can be achieved using such an active energy ray-curable offset printing ink composition.
