A circuit board is sealed and housed in a casing including a base and a cover, a connector housing including a partition wall is mounted on the circuit board, and an electrical connection between the interior and the exterior of the casing is established. A water-repellent filter is fixed to an inner surface of the partition wall, an outer surface portion of the water-repellent filter is opened to atmosphere via the breath ventilation hole, and an atmospheric opening surface thereof is formed such that the atmospheric opening surface being wetted directly with water is avoided by a poured water blocking wall and water barrier walls. A position where the poured water blocking wall is provided is changed by an insert mold in response to the direction of the mounting surface of the base.

Waterproof type control apparatus

A case configured with a base and a cover watertightly contains a circuit board, and a connector housing having a diaphragm is mounted in the circuit board so that the inside and the outside of the case are electrically connected with each other; an outer ring-shaped circumferential wall is provided on the outer surface of the diaphragm, and a protrusion portion having first and second ventilation holes is provided at the side surface of the outer ring-shaped circumferential wall; one end of each of the first and second ventilation holes communicates with the outer surface portion of a water-repellent filter provided on the inner wall surface of the diaphragm, and the other end thereof communicates with the inside of a recess portion that is situated at a side of a mating connector and fits with the protrusion portion.

Waterproof control apparatus

A connecting structure includes a flat circuit body, a slider that is attached to a vicinity of a distal end portion of the flat circuit body, and a connector which includes a slider containing portion and a terminal arrangement portion. When the slider is connected to the slider containing portion, conductors of the flat circuit body are electrically connected to the connection terminals of the terminal arrangement portion. The slider has a narrow width end portion whose width at the distal end is smaller than width of the flat circuit body so that side edges of the distal end of the flat circuit body are projected from the narrow width end portion. The slider containing portion has a positioning face which contacts with one of the side edges of the distal end of the flat circuit body.

Connecting structure of connector and flat circuit body

An object is to prevent a water-repellent filter, which performs ventilation between the interior and the exterior of a sealed casing and prevents entry of water, from being wetted directly with water. A circuit board is sealed and housed in a casing including a base and a cover, a connector housing including a partition wall is mounted on the circuit board, and an electrical connection between the interior and the exterior of the casing is established. A water-repellent filter is fixed to an inner surface of the partition wall, and an outer surface portion of the water-repellent filter is opened to atmosphere via first and second ventilation holes and first and second connection ventilation holes. Therefore, the water-repellent filter can be avoided from being wetted directly with water.

A flat cable waterproofing connector includes a flat cable having an insulating covering part where conductor wires are covered with an insulating film, terminals bonded to the conductor wires, and a connector housing engaged with a mating connector so that the terminals are connected to terminals of the mating connector. The flat cable waterproofing connector further includes a resin mold part integrally molded on an end part in a longitudinal direction of the flat cable so as to cover a bonding part between the conductor wires and the terminals, and the resin mold part has a waterproofing mold part for covering the bonding part, and a holding mold part for covering the flat cable at a deeper side in the longitudinal direction of the flat cable than the waterproofing mold part.

A waterproof connector includes a flat cable having an insulating sheath part in which a conductive wire is coated with an insulating film, a terminal connected to the conductive wire, and a connector housing fitted to a mating connector so as to connect the terminal to a mating terminal of the mating connector. The connector housing includes a mold part which is integrally formed with an end part in an extending direction of the flat cable and which covers a connecting part of the conductive wire and the terminal. The insulating sheath part has a pair of cut-out parts. The pair of cut-put parts are formed at positions which are covered with the connector housing and located at side end parts of the insulating sheath part opposed to each other in a transverse direction of the insulating sheath part.

Waterproof connector

A waterproof connector includes a plate-like cable having a plurality of conductor parts, a connector housing having a rectangular insertion opening, a sealing member through which the plate-like cable is inserted and that seals between the insertion opening and the plate-like cable, and a holder that covers an outer periphery of an opening end part of the connector housing, that has a lock part which engages with the opening end part, and that holds the plate-like cable. A plurality of bosses are protruded on the holder and are inserted into a plurality of connector side through holes formed in the opening end part and a plurality of cable side through holes formed in the plate-like cable. A back end surface of the sealing member abuts against the plurality of bosses.

A lock structure of the invention includes a lock arm 9 and a cancellation arm 19 both of which are supported on a base member 7. The lock arm 9 is pivotally supported resiliently on the base member 7 through first leg portions 11, and a retaining portion 15 for engagement with a mating member is formed at a distal end 17 of the lock arm. The cancellation arm 19 is pivotally supported resiliently on the base member 7 through second leg portions 21, and one end portion of the cancellation arm extends from the leg portion 21 in a direction toward the retaining portion 17, and is connected to the lock arm 9 while the other end portion of the cancellation arm extends from the leg portion 21 in a direction away from the retaining portion 17.

Lock structure

A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing (100) for housing a plurality of first connector terminals (23); a second connector housing (200) for housing a plurality of second connector terminals (21) mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider (300, 300A) inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring (400) disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals (23, 21) when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing (200) is engaged with the first connector housing (100) and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring (400) can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.

To provide a double-retaining connector in which terminals can be inserted smoothly, thereby enhancing an operation efficiency and eliminating an obstacle to the achievement of an automation production. In the double-retaining connector, a cavity is formed in a connector housing, and a spacer is provided so as to be inserted into the cavity in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-retained condition and a completely-retained condition, and the spacer has openings which are aligned respectively with terminal receiving chambers in the provisionally-retained condition of the spacer so as to allow terminals to pass through the openings, respectively. Each of the terminal receiving chambers is divided by the cavity into a front receiving chamber and a rear receiving chamber in such a manner that the cavity is interposed between the front and rear receiving chambers. At a boundary between the opening and the rear receiving chamber, an open end of the opening is larger than an open end of the rear receiving chamber. At a boundary between the front receiving chamber and the opening, an open end of the front receiving chamber is larger than an open end of the opening.

Double-retaining connector

To provide a female terminal used in an electric circuit, as well as a method of producing such a terminal, a resilient contact piece, mounted within a receptive portion for receiving a male terminal, is positively retained, thereby providing the female terminal with a high reliability. In the female terminal, a resilient contact piece is mounted within a receptive portion formed by bending an electrically-conductive metal sheet. A retaining projection and a retaining hole are provided at each of side walls of the receptive portion. With this construction, retaining ends of the resilient contact piece are engaged respectively in the retaining holes, and even if the side walls are curved by pressing forces applied during a bending operation, the retaining projections positively retain the retaining ends of the resilient contact piece.

Female terminal and method of producing the same

A female terminal has an electrical contact portion of a cross-sectionally square, tubular configuration, and one wall of this electrical contact portion serves as a retaining wall. A retaining hole is formed through the retaining wall generally centrally of the width thereof, and a notch of a rectangular shape is formed in a central portion of this retaining wall at a front end thereof. Slanting piece portions are formed at the front end of the female terminal, and are disposed respectively on opposite sides of the notch, the slanting piece portions being curved inwardly relative to the cross-sectionally square, tubular portion. When the female terminal is inserted into a terminal receiving chamber in a housing, the slanting piece portions, provided respectively on the opposite side of the notch, elastically deforms an elastic retaining lance provided in the housing, and when the retaining lance becomes fitted in the retaining hole, the female terminal is retained in a predetermined position in the housing.

A lock detecting structure of connector comprises: a male connector housing (100) formed with a deformable lock arm (105) having a lock projection (112), and with two slider stoppers (150); a female connector housing (200) mated with the male connector housing (100) and formed with a lock claw (210) engaged with the lock projection of the male connector housing, and a slider release projection (206); and a slider (300) slidable inserted into the male connector housing (100) and stopped at a temporary engage position due to engagement of the slider with the lock projection (112) and the two slider stoppers (150) of the male connector housing. When the male connector housing (200) is perfectly mated with the female connector housing (100) and thereby the slider is deformed inward away from the lock projection (112) and the slider stoppers (150) of the male connector housing by the lock claw (210) and the slider release projection (206) of the female connector housing (200), the slider can be further inserted deep into the female connector housing (200) to a lock confirmation position. In particular, since the two slider stoppers (150) are formed inside the male connector housing and therefore the slider can be stopped within the male connector housing, it is possible to reliably detect the connector housing lock conditions, without being subjected to the influence of an external force applied to the slider.

Lock detecting structure of connector

A connector for preventing a front end portion of a connection terminal, inserted into a terminal insertion hole, from falling into an erroneous insertion prevention groove. The groove for receiving the erroneous insertion prevention projection formed on the connection terminal is formed at each terminal insertion hole formed in a connector housing for receiving the connection terminal. The groove is formed at a position offset from a front end portion of the connection terminal, or the groove is smaller in width than this front end portion.
