A first RF radiating element is transmissive to visible light and includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode is formed of at least one linear conductor. The second electrode is formed of a material having a visible light transmittance greater than the visible light transmittance of a material forming the first electrode. The conductivity of the second electrode is smaller than the conductivity of the first electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode face each other in a stacking direction. The first RF radiating element includes a first region, in which the first electrode overlaps the at least one linear conductor, and a second region, in which the first electrode does not overlap the at least one linear conductor, in plan view of the first RF radiating element in the stacking direction.

Antenna element, antenna module, and communication device

An antenna module radiates radio waves upon receiving a radio-frequency signal output from an RFIC. The antenna module includes flat radiating elements that radiate radio waves in a first polarization direction, feed conductors that each supply a radio-frequency signal from the RFIC to an associated one of the radiating elements, and a ground electrode disposed opposite the radiating elements. As viewed from the RFIC, frequency characteristics of an impedance of the radiating element are different from frequency characteristics of an impedance of the radiating element. Under a condition a frequency band in which a return loss is less than or equal to a predetermined value is defined as an operable band width in each of the radiating elements, the operable band width of the radiating element partially overlaps the operable band width of the radiating element.

A flexible substrate includes a dielectric having flexibility, a first line, a second line, and ground electrode. The dielectric has a first surface and a second surface opposed to the first surface. The first line, the ground electrode, and the second line are laminated in this order in layers from the first surface to the second surface. When the flexible substrate is seen through from the thickness direction of the flexible substrate, the first line has a line-symmetrical portion that is line-symmetrical with respect to the second line with a virtual intermediate line (LM) serving as a symmetric line.

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate having a multilayer structure, a ground electrode disposed in the dielectric substrate, a plate-like fed element facing the ground electrode and disposed at a layer different from a layer including the ground electrode, a feed line for transferring a radio-frequency signal to a feed point of the fed element, and a stub. The stub branches off from the feed line at a branch point of the feed line and has an open end. The stub is disposed between the fed element and the ground electrode. When the dielectric substrate is viewed in plan view, the open end coincides with the fed element.

An antenna module () includes a dielectric substrate () having a multilayer structure, a first radiating electrode () and a ground electrode (GND) that are disposed in the dielectric substrate (), and a second radiating electrode () disposed in a layer between the first radiating electrode () and the ground electrode (GND). The first radiating electrode () is a power feed element to which radio frequency power is supplied. When the antenna module () is viewed in plan from a normal direction of the dielectric substrate (), the first radiating electrode () and the second radiating electrode () at least partially overlap with each other. A thickness of the second radiating electrode () is larger than that of the first radiating electrode ().

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate having a multilayer structure, an antenna element and a ground electrode that are arranged at the dielectric substrate, and a matching circuit that is formed in a region between the antenna element and the ground electrode. Transmission line and antenna module

An antenna module includes a first power feed element and a second power feed element each having a flat plate shape, and a ground electrode (GND) arranged so as to face the first power feed element and the second power feed element. The first power feed element is configured to radiate a radio wave having a first direction as a polarization direction. The second power feed element is arranged between the first power feed element and the ground electrode (GND), and is configured to radiate a radio wave having a second direction as a polarization direction. A frequency of the radio wave radiated from the first power feed element is higher than a frequency of the radio wave radiated from the second power feed element. An angle formed by the first direction and the second direction is greater than 0&#xb0; and less than 90&#xb0;.

An antenna module includes: a dielectric substrate including a multilayer structure, the dielectric substrate having a first surface and a second surface, the second surface being opposite the first surface; an antenna pattern formed on the first surface side of the dielectric substrate; a RFIC provided on the second surface of the dielectric substrate, the RFIC supplying a radio frequency signal to the antenna pattern; and a power supply line that supplies power to the RFIC, wherein the thickness of the power supply line in the stacking direction (Z axis direction) of the dielectric substrate is thicker than the thickness of the antenna pattern in the stacking direction.

An antenna module includes a substrate, a RF signal processing circuit provided on the substrate, a ground electrode provided on the substrate above the RF signal processing circuit, a radiation electrode provided on the substrate above the ground electrode, and a feed line provided in an overlapping area where the radiation electrode and the RF signal processing circuit overlap, the feed line connecting the radiation electrode and the RF signal processing circuit, wherein the ground electrode includes a first ground pattern, a second ground pattern, and a peripheral wall connecting the first ground pattern and the second ground pattern, the peripheral wall surrounds part of the feed line, and the second ground pattern has a through hole through which the feed line penetrates.

An antenna module () includes a substrate () including a first flat plate portion () and a second flat plate portion () that have respective normals intersecting with each other and that are continuous, first patch antennas (to) that are formed on the first flat plate portion () and second patch antennas (to) that are formed on the second flat plate portion (). The first patch antennas (to) are arranged in at least a column in a column direction parallel to a boundary line (B) between the first flat plate portion () and the second flat plate portion (). The second patch antennas (to) are arranged in at least a column in the column direction.

An antenna module () includes an antenna array () that includes a plurality of radiation conductors () arranged at regular intervals in or on a dielectric substrate () and an RFIC () that is provided in or on the dielectric substrate () and that performs signal processing on a transmission signal transmitted by the antenna array () or a reception signal received by the patch antenna array ().
