A more secure TCP/IP protocol stack is provided having an enhanced transport layer. Encryption and decryption logic is arranged on the transmission side and on the reception side for processing a payload of a transport layer protocol, such as TCP or UDP. By employing this enhanced transport layer, a cryptograph process communication can be realized by dissolving various kinds of restrictions which a conventional IPsec or SSL possesses without affecting upper layer processing, and, at the same time, maintaining compatibility with the IP layer.

TCP/IP-based communication system and associated methodology providing an enhanced transport layer protocol

A network gateway apparatus which adds encryption to easily implement secure communication without affecting network environment settings includes two network interface cards to communicate on two networks. The processor of the network gateway apparatus initializes communications through the network interface cards and uses a TCP/IP protocol stack to communicate through the network interface cards. When a packet is received by one of the network interface cards, the processor replaces the origin MAC and IP addresses and the destination MAC and IP addresses with temporary values. Then the processor encrypts the payload. The packet is sent to the TCP/IP protocol stack, which sends the packet to one of the two network interface cards according to the temporary values. The MAC an IP addresses of the final destination of the packet are rewritten to the packet and the packet is transmitted.

An information distribution system described herein is capable of securely storing digitized personal information in an encrypted state in a storage section and securely transferring/disclosing the stored digitized information only to a particular third person via a network. Communication of the information is securely performed in the encrypted state between information terminals connected to the communication network. An information terminal which has created information encrypts the original information by a common key generated upon communication and stores the information in a secure storage of one of the information terminals connected to the communication network while maintaining the encrypted state. Further, the system creates a mechanism for authenticating a person having a particular authority for viewing the encrypted information and index information having an encrypted common key and link information indicating the location of the information for supply to a user.

Information distribution system and program for the same

The present invention is made to provide an information distribution system capable of securely storing digitized personal information in an encrypted state in a storage section and securely transferring/disclosing the stored digitized information only to a particular third person via a network. A mail system having high security is realized by mounting TCP2 for mail communication between client apparatuses. The present invention relates to a mail communication system which is connected to a network and exchanges mails between client apparatuses provided with the existing mailers, and each client apparatus is mounted with a TCP2 driver. A TCP2 driverincludes a TCP2 coreand a mail system coreand an e-mail received via the network is processed in this TCP2 driverand thereafter, is supplied to an existing mailerof the client apparatus. In the mail system coreof the TCP2 driver, control of mail encryption and decryption, deletion of an unnecessary mail and the like is carried out.

A data encryption transmission system and associated methodology is provided including a data input site that compresses and encrypts data based on a shared encryption key and then transmits the compressed and encrypted data to an external network. A database server which is operably linked to the external network and stores, manages, transmits, and receives data. A removable storage stores an identification code, and a client site which is configured to receive the removable storage generates an encryption key based on the identification code, receives encrypted data from the external network, decrypts and expands the received data based on the shared encryption key, encrypts the data based on the encryption key and saves the encrypted data, and finally decrypts the encrypted data and outputs the data using the encryption key.
