A driver's feeling control apparatus which includes: a steering detection unit which detects the amount of steering operation by a driver; a seat in which the driver sits, and which has a movable part displaceable in a perpendicular direction with respect to the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, or in a yaw direction; and a control unit which determines the amount of the displacement of the movable part in response to the amount of steering operation.

Driver's feeling control apparatus

A steering detecting section () detects steering angle in the steering operation of a vehicle driver performed for a steering () and a control section () controls rotational movement of a visual information display () based on the detected steering angle. A rotational angle is set while the value for steering angle in the right direction being differentiated from the value for steering angle in the left direction with regard to the same steering angle in the right and left different directions, thus guiding the vehicle driver to correct the difference between the right and left steering speeds in the steering operation.

A driver feeling adjusting apparatus includes a seat that is fixed to a vehicle and on which a driver is seated, a movable portion that is provided in the seat and that can be displaced in a vehicle lateral direction or a yaw direction, and a control unit that displaces the movable portion in an opposite direction to a direction of centripetal acceleration or a yaw rate in turning, and enables the driver to feel easy steering.

A control unit presents a visual stimulus onto a film adhered on an inner surface of a windscreen glass of a vehicle, and controls the visual stimulus so as to allow a driver to perceive the visual stimulus approaching the driver or receding therefrom in response to detection results of a driving environment detection unit, a vehicle status detection unit and a driver status detection unit. In such a way, visually induced vection can be produced for the driver by the visual stimulus. Accordingly, a drive sense of the driver can be adjusted in response to a vehicle state quantity, a driving environment and a driver state.

According to a visibility adjusting apparatus of a vehicle, an apex T is disposed at a position deviated from a driver and between a position opposed to the driver and a vehicle center position, left and right ridgelines uniformly downwardly inclined from the apex T to the vehicle-width direction are set, and a visibility adjusting section is formed as a parting line which adjusts a lower end visibility of the windshield. The visibility adjusting section is formed of the apex and the left and right ridgelines. With this, a sense of balance of the driver can be stabilized by the inclined parting line, and the sway of a head inclination angle can be suppressed.

Visibility adjusting method and apparatus of vehicle

A view adjustment portion includes a vertex at a position offset from a driver between a position opposed to the driver and a center position of the vehicle and includes right and left edges uniformly sloped down from the vertex toward each side in the vehicle width direction. On the interior surface of the view adjustment portion, textures densest and smallest in the vicinity of the vertex are provided. This can prevent the driver's visual focus to be directed to the vicinity of the vertex T and guide the driver's visual focus in the travel direction of the vehicle. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the driver from feeling disturbance by a portion of the view adjustment portion around the vertex.

An illumination property of headlightsis controlled so that light quantity or color in a belt-like region B including a virtual line segment A may be different from those in other regions, and thereby the virtual line segment A which uniformly inclines downward from an apex T deviated from a driver toward opposite sides in a vehicle-width direction is indicated on a road surface. The virtual line segment A thus indicated can suppress inclinations of forward visibility and also suppress the sway of ahead inclination angle when a vehicle turns, thereby stabilizing a driving posture of a driver and suppressing steering disturbance.

Method and apparatus for adjusting visibility of vehicle

A visibility adjusting section () is formed by making a visible light transmission of a region (A) in a lower side of left and right ridgelines (Rl, Rr) lower than a visible light transmission of a region (B) in an upper side of the left and right ridgelines (Rl, Rr). Accordingly, a driver and a passenger on an assistant driver's seat can see an outer side of a vehicle through the visibility adjusting section (), and a suitable light can be taken into the vehicle. Further, since a parting line () of the visibility adjusting section () is uniformly inclined downward toward opposite sides in a vehicle-width direction from an apex (T) disposed at a position which is deviated from a driver, a driving posture of the driver is stabilized, and it is possible to suppress a disturbance in a steering operation.

A vehicle drive unit with a support apparatus is provided which can provide both low rigidity in the translational direction at the center of gravity and high rigidity with respect to moment input caused by the drive shaft at the center of gravity. The low rigidity in the translational direction at the center of gravity provided by the support apparatus is required for vibration control. The high rigidity in the translational direction at the center of gravity provided by the support apparatus is required for controlling the jerking vibration that occurs during acceleration from a standstill. The support apparatus is preferably designed to support a drive unit with an integrated reduction gear. The support apparatus has multiple elastic mounting members in a vehicle for which at least the front wheels or the rear wheels are driven by an electric motor or the like. Preferably, the elastic mounting members that support the drive unit are at least three in number and arranged within the same plane. The elastic centers of the elastic mounting members are set so as to be contained within one plane. This plane is set so that when it is used as the mounting plane, two of the inertial axes of the drive unit lie within the mounting plane.

Support apparatus for vehicle drive unit

A sound isolation plate structure comprises a sheet of perforated board in which a plurality of holes are formed, and cylindrical portions provided on one surface side of the perforated board to extend from peripheral portions of the holes like cylinders unilaterally, wherein pneumatic vibration systems are formed between the cylindrical portions. Accordingly, a resonance frequency of vibration systems is easily tuned by adjusting a projection amount of the cylindrical portions so as to mate with a frequency of the noise to be isolated.

Sound isolation plate structure

An airflow type sound isolation plate structure comprises two sheets of plate members positioned in parallel at a predetermined interval. One of plate members is arranged on an air inlet side and the other of plate members is arranged on an air outlet side. Plural sets of first opposing holes and plural sets of opposing second holes are provided in two sheets of plate members respectively. Peripheral areas of respective sets of first holes are connected by cylindrical connecting portions so as to form a continuous hole in their internal spaces. Annularly extended portions are provided to peripheral areas of respective sets of second holes so as to oppose to each other and not to contact to each other. Internal spaces are provided around the annularly extended portions between both plate members. Inner peripheral surfaces of the first holes and the second holes formed in one of plate members are expanded gradually toward the upstream side of air flow. As a result, air flow passes through peripheral portions of the holes without separation from the inner peripheral surfaces and therefore the an air permeability is improved much more. In addition, all areas of top inner peripheral surfaces of the annularly extended portions formed in one of plate members are positioned on the inside rather than those of top inner peripheral surfaces of the annularly extended portions formed in the other of plate members. Vortex flows are turned toward the center sides by edge portions of the annularly extended portions following to the holes. As a result, whistling sound is prevented from being generated at portions connected to air chambers.

A noise insulating wall structure includes tubular extensions which extend into a space defined between spaced insulating plates. The extensions formed on the lower of the two plates are formed with openings which allow water, which accidentally finds its way into the interior of the panel, to drain out and thus not effect the sound attenuating performance of panel. The drain openings have an area which is determined based on a ratio of the area of the opening to the total circumferential area (including the area of the opening) of the extension.

Noise insulating wall structure

A noise insulating wall structure comprises a pair of noise insulating plates which face each other so as to be apart from another and each of which has a plurality of through holes. The noise insulating plates are connected to each other by means of a plurality of cylindrical portions. Each of the cylindrical portions is divided into two half portions, each of which has an abutting portion on the end face thereof. At least one of the abutting portions of the two half portions has a plurality of notched portions, each establishing the communication between the inside and outside of the cylindrical portion. The air layer at the central portion in the cylindrical portion serves as an air mass to form a vibration system of one-degree of freedom. In addition, the outside air layers in the through holes serve as air masses and the inside air layer in the cylindrical portion serves as an air spring to form a vibration system of two-degrees of freedom. The frequency characteristic is designed to be easily adjusted by varying the number, size and shape of the notched portions.

A chain drive device comprising at least a plural sprockets and a chain having a plural links and wrapped around said sprockets, and which chain drive device transmitting a driving force between said sprockets through said chain, is characterized in that, with reference to at least one of said sprockets, twice a number of said links wrapped around said sprocket is set as an odd number in case of a wrapping angle of said chain to said sprocket being less than 90.degree., and twice a number of the links wrapped around said sprocket is set as an even number in case of a wrapping angle of said chain to said sprocket being equal to or more than 90.degree.. Such a construction achieves noise reducing effect without providing additional parts.
