A disposable diaper which can be used both as a tape-fastening type and an underpants type by joining the both side portions of the front body part and back body part respectively to thereby form joined portions on both sides along with a waist opening and a pair of right and left leg openings and in this diaper, perforated lines are formed on the both side portions of the front body part so as to extend from an edge of the waist opening to edges of the leg openings and at least one pair of fastening tapes having hook members on inner surfaces thereof and straddle the perforated lines.

A disposable diaper having: an elastic portion where a plurality of elastic members is provided along a width direction with an interval of not more than 7.0 mm in a longitudinal direction, and a non-elastic portion wherein the non-elastic portion is in a center of at least one of a front side and a back side and the elastic portion is provided in a region including right-and-left side portions except the non-elastic portion, and a difference between a maximum product width obtained when the body peripheral region is extended to a limit of extension in a product width direction and a contracted product width obtained when the body peripheral region is in a non-extended contraction state is from 100 to 250 mm in a state where the front side and the back side are overlapped.

A disposable diaper having an absorbent, a waist opening and right and left leg openings which are formed when the diaper is in use, and many stretchable members which are provided along the peripheral direction of the diaper at least in a girth area having a lengthwise range extending from said waist opening's edge to said leg openings' start ends and which are spaced at intervals in the lengthwise direction of the diaper. In at least a front body, said stretchable members are provided discontinuously in part of or in the whole of a lengthwise range where said absorbent is located, in an area extending from a joint on one side to a joint on the other side of the diaper.
