A mobile phone is electronics with 2D and 3D display function, having a first casing and a second casing linked to allow the phone to be foldable, and including a first display unit located inside with the phone folded, and selectively switching and displaying 2D and 3D images, and a second display unit located outside with the phone folded, and displaying a 2D image. When the mobile phone is opened or open the first display unit displays an idle screen in a 3D image as desired.

Electronics with two and three dimensional display functions

In an electronic equipment provided with 2D (two-dimensional) and 3D (three-dimensional) displaying functions, an easily viewable 2D image screen and an enjoyable 3D image screen are switched and displayed with a simple key operation. A first display portion of the electronic equipment does not generate optical parallax during the display of 2D image, enabling display of an easily viewable 2D image screen. The electronic equipment shares the data, permitting switching of the 2D image display to 3D image display.

A measuring device for amount of charge of developer includes an upper electrode, a lower electrode provided under the upper electrode, which are provided in parallel so as to face each other, flying electric field voltage application unit for applying a flying electric field voltage to the upper electrode, for generating an electric field so as to fly developer from the lower electrode to the upper electrode, current detection unit for detecting a current flowing in the upper electrode, and arithmetic unit for computing a total amount of charge of the developer adhering to the upper electrode based on a change in amount of current detected by the current detection unit, wherein a current that generates as a toner T adheres to the upper electrode is detected by the current detection unit, and based on a change in amount of the current, a total amount of charge of the developer adhering to the upper electrode is computed by the arithmetic unit. As a result, the measuring device for amount of charge of developer can be obtained at low cost.

An image processing apparatus includes a detecting section for detecting a density value as a threshold value for suppressing an effect from a background from image data composed of plural picture element data obtained by digitizing each picture element of the image and a density converting section for outputting the image data after converting density values of the picture element data whose density values are below the threshold value into a predetermined value indicating white when the density value of the picture element data is below the threshold value. The detecting section computes a degree of separation indicating a ratio of a between-class dispersion to a within-class dispersion of two classes divided by the threshold value by sequentially varying the density value. Then, the density value corresponding to a gravitational center of a differential histogram showing the respective differences in degree of separation from a density Tm which maximizes the degree of separation to a highest density Te. The apparatus enables an effective threshold value to be set even with respect to the image data wherein a difference in density level between the background and the image is not significant, thereby enabling the removal of the background from such image data.

A measuring device for an amount of charge of toner including countered first and second electrodes for forming an electric field which accelerates toner particles, a voltage generator for applying a voltage across the first and second electrodes, a magnifying optical system for magnifying the image of toner particles which move between the first and the second electrodes, a light source for illuminating a vicinity of a focus of the magnifying optical system, a CCD sensor for receiving an optical image of the toner particles magnified by the magnifying optical system so as to convert the optical image into an image signal and a CPU for controlling a voltage from the voltage generator based upon the image signal so that the toner particles pass a prescribed position in the vicinity of the focus of the magnifying optical system and for obtaining an amount of charge of toner particles from a value of the voltage, and an image forming apparatus in which the measuring device is installed. The measuring device for an amount of charge of toner becomes compact, so it can be installed in an image forming apparatus.
