A loop surface fastener in which numerous looped engaging elements formed from loop yarns inserted in parallel to ground warp yarns are provided upright on one side of a base fabric formed from ground warp yarns and ground weft yarns satisfies all the following requirements 1) to 3). 1) The loop yarn is a multi-filament yarn formed by bundling 5 to 9 filaments of 30 to 45 decitex. 2) The density of the looped engaging elements is in a range of 100 to 200/cm. 3) Loop surfaces of the looped engaging elements are substantially facing in the same direction and the loop surface facing direction is a ground weft yarn direction.

Loop surface fastener having excellent positioning function

A molded surface fastener, including: a large number of male fastening elements projecting upward from the surface of a plastic plate, each of the male fastening elements having a stem projecting upward from the plastic plate and an engaging projection projecting sideways from the stem, where each of the male fastening elements has a height (H) of 1.5-3.0 mm, a length (D) from the uppermost tip to the lower end of the engaging projection of 0.675-2.25 mm, and a ratio length (D) to the height (H), (D)/(H), of 0.45-0.75, where the plate coverage of male fastening elements is 25-45%, and where each of the male fastening elements has an anti-sticking projection projecting away from the plate above the engaging projection.

Surface fastener with excellent temporary fixing function

An engaging member for attaching an upholstery material to a cushion member, which has a positioning member at least one lengthwise terminal end. The positioning member places the starting end of loop engaging element portion in precise position in the groove of the cushion member. The engaging member is long and flexible and bends in conformity with the complicated shape of the curved groove. The method of producing an upholstered cushion molding using the engaging member improves the working efficiency.
