In one embodiment, the method comprises accessing user-specified configuration information for configuring a first user interface of a medical image management system, the first user interface to display a list of healthcare studies including one or more unread healthcare studies; and creating the first user interface with the list of healthcare studies with priority information for the one or more unread healthcare studies, including determining the priority information, according to the user-specified configuration information, for at least one unread healthcare study in the list based on findings that result from performing automated image analysis on one or more of the images in said at least one unread healthcare study.

A method for transferring and rendering a medical image record, including, receiving, at a workstation of a first user, a subscription to a worklist, the worklist including a Study list having one or more Studies, each Study including at least one Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine ('DICOM') image; pre-rendering and compressing, by one or more computing devices, at least one DICOM image associated with each Study on the Study list; transferring, from the one or more computing devices to the workstation, one or more pre-rendered and compressed DICOM images; receiving, at the workstation, a request to view at least one pre-rendered and compressed DICOM image; decompressing, at the workstation, at least one requested pre-rendered and compressed DICOM image; rendering, at the workstation, at least one decompressed DICOM image; and displaying at least one rendered DICOM image at the workstation.

Systems and methods for workstation rendering medical image records

A method and apparatus for logging information using a medical image display system. In one embodiment, the method comprises accessing a first medical study; displaying one or more images from the first medical study in a first display area of a screen; receiving one or more user inputs related to a user's interactions with the first display area; receiving a user input to add a first selectable entry into a list of one or more entries displayed in a second display area; adding the first selectable entry to the list in response to receiving a user input; and storing the list for future access with the first medical study.

Methods and apparatus for logging information using a medical imaging display system

In one embodiment, the method comprises: monitoring, by a medical image management system, for a first indication of a content change at one or more data sources; determining, in response to the first indication, which of a plurality of image analysis engines is to analyze at least one image of one or more new medical images associated with the content change based on one or both of information accompanying the one or more images or results of applying body part detection on the at least one image; sending a first notification to start image analysis on the at least one image of the one or more medical images, the first notification being sent to each image analysis engine in a set of one or more image analysis engines determined to analyze the at least one image of the one or more new medical images; receiving a second indication that image analysis results are available from the set of one or more image analysis engines; and sending a second notification to subscribers to indicate availability of image analysis results for access and display thereby.

Platform for evaluating medical information and method for using the same

Reception means receives examination data including a plurality of examination images. Association means associates an examination image similar to each sample image included in the layout with a sample image using a similarity between each sample image included in a layout and each of a plurality of examination images included in examination data. Display means displays the examination image associated with the sample image at an arrangement position where the sample image is arranged in the layout.

A storage device of a report producing terminal stores an importance table. The importance table stores grades of importance of respective items of accessory information on medical images. Prior to displaying a medical image on a screen, an area defining section extracts a main subject display area of the medical image, and defines an accessory information display area outside the main subject display area. A display style defining section calculates a necessary display area for each individual item of the accessory information, and discriminates between those items which fit in the accessory information display area and those which do not. The display style defining section decides not to display the items which do not fit in the accessory information display area, or decides to display them in a transparent style, in a scrolling style, in a switching style or with a small font.
