A transparent ABS resin composition which enables a production of a molded article retaining an excellent mechanical strength without decreasing the transparency and opacity, consisting of: based on a total mass of the transparent ABS resin composition, 70 to 98% by mass of a transparent ABS resin; and 2 to 30% by mass of a glass filler. The glass filler consists of glass components and optionally at least one oxide.

A glass fiber to be used as a glass fiber for reinforcing a polycarbonate resin comprising, as inorganic components in whole glass fiber, from 50 to 60 mass % of SiO, from 10 to 15 mass % of AlO, from 15 to 25 mass % of CaO, from 2 to 10 mass % of TiO, from 2 to 8 mass % of BO, from 0 to 5 mass % of MgO, from 0 to 5 mass % of ZnO, from 0 to 5 mass % of BaO, from 0 to 5 mass % of ZrO, from 0 to 2 mass % of LiO, from 0 to 2 mass % of NaO and from 0 to 2 mass % of KO, wherein the total content of the above LiO, NaO and KO is from 0 to 2 mass % based on the above whole glass fiber, and the refractive index of the above glass fiber is from 1.580 to 1.590.

Provided are an amorphous polyamide resin composition having high transparency, and is excellent in heat resistance and stiffness, and a molded product thereof. The glass filler contains, expressed in terms of oxides by mass %, 68 to 74% of silicon dioxide (SiO), 2 to 5% of aluminum oxide (AlO), 2 to 5% of boron oxide (BO), 2 to 10% of calcium oxide (CaO), 0 to 5% of zinc oxide (ZnO), 0 to 5% of strontium oxide (SrO), 0 to 1% of barium oxide (BaO), 1 to 5% of magnesium oxide (MgO), 0 to 5% of lithium oxide (LiO), 5 to 12% of sodium oxide (NaO), and 0 to 10% of potassium oxide (KO), where a total amount of lithium oxide (LiO), sodium oxide (NaO), and potassium oxide (KO) is 8 to 12%.

Amorphous polyamide resin composition and molded product

A glass filler for a polycarbonate resin, whereby the refractive index of the glass filler can be improved to the same level as a polycarbonate resin, and the transparency of a molded product after reinforced with such a filler can be maintained without coloration, and a polycarbonate resin composition employing such a filler, are provided. The polycarbonate resin composition comprises a polycarbonate resin and a glass filler which comprises, as inorganic components in the entire glass filler, from 50 to 60 mass % of silicon dioxide (SiO), from 7 to 15 mass % of aluminum oxide (AlO), from 10 to 20 mass % of calcium oxide (CaO), from 0 to 5 mass % of magnesium oxide (MgO), from 2 to 8 masse of zirconium is oxide (ZrO), from 0 to 10 mass % of zinc oxide (ZnO), from 0 to 10 mass % of strontium oxide (SrO), from 0 to 18 mass % of barium oxide (BaO), from 0 to 2 mass % of lithium oxide (LiO), from 0 to 2 mass % of sodium oxide (NaO), and from 0 to 2 mass % of potassium oxide (KO), provided that the total content of the lithium oxide (LiO), the sodium oxide (NaO) and the potassium oxide (KO) is from 0 to 2 mass % based on the entire glass filler.
