A radiographic apparatus includes a bed having a top board on which an object is to be placed, a radiation image detector for detecting intensity distribution of radiation transmitted through the object, and a supporting part arranged on the top board for supporting the radiation image detector at least at a position beneath the top board.

In an X-ray image detector including an X-ray grid unit for transmitting primary X-rays and removing scattered X-rays, a fluorescent substance for emitting fluorescence through excitation by X-rays, and photoelectric conversion elements for photoelectrically converting the fluorescence, these X-ray grid unit, fluorescent substance and photoelectric conversion elements are constituted together as a single unit. The plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are arranged two-dimensionally between each adjacent two of which there is a predetermined insensitive region. The X-ray grid is composed of a plurality of X-ray absorption members for removing the scattered X-rays, and the X-ray absorption members are disposed substantially only on the predetermined insensitive regions when viewed from a direction from which X-rays are incident. Further, the fluorescent substance is disposed substantially only in the regions between the X-ray absorption members that are adjacent to each other when viewed from a direction from which X-rays are incident.

X-ray image detecting apparatus

An ink jet recording apparatus comprises a carrier for carrying a recording medium, a head installation unit for installing a recording head to record on the recording medium by discharging ink from discharge ports while reciprocating in the width direction intersecting the carrying direction of the recording medium, a support for supporting the recording medium in a position facing the recording head, and opening portions for collecting ink discharged from the recording head at the edges of the recording medium in the width direction. With the structure thus arranged, this ink jet recording apparatus is capable of recording up to the edges of the recording medium in high quality without staining the recording medium.

An image recording or reading apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is provided with a non-processed sheet storage portion, a processed sheet storage portion arranged to be parallel to the non-processed sheet storage portion, a sheet processing unit for performing recording processing or reading processing of recorded information for a sheet, the sheet processing unit having an optical unit for executing optical scanning for reading or reading in a main scanning direction of the sheet, and being arranged vertically and in parallel between the non-processed and processed sheet storage portion, and a sheet feed mechanism for feeding a non-processed sheet from the non-processed sheet storage portion to the sheet processing unit, and feeding a processed sheet from the sheet processing unit to the processed sheet storage portion. The sheet processing unit executes processing on a sheet which is being picked up from the non-processed sheet storage portion by the sheet feed mechanism or on a sheet which is being stored in the processed sheet storage portion.

Image recording or reading apparatus with u-shaped arrangements of feed mechanism and a plurality of sheet storage units

An apparatus has a paper cassette capable of accommodating a recording medium such as large-size recording sheets or OHP film, and an accommodating unit capable of accommodating recording sheets such as plain paper. The types of recording sheets that are accommodated in the paper cassette and accommodating unit are sensed by paper sensors. If the recording sheets accommodated in the paper cassette are large in size or consist of resin film, then one of these recording sheets is attracted by suction using a suction cup and is thus fed from the paper cassette. If the recording sheets accommodated in the accommodating unit are plain paper, one of these recording sheets is extracted from the accommodating unit by a rotating separation roller. The paper cassette and the accommodating unit are respectively provided with a feed unit relying upon the suction cup and a feed unit relying upon the separation roller.

A recording apparatus includes a recording head for performing recording on recording paper, the recording head having three or more types of inks of different densities but of the same color. A combination of the inks used to record a pixel of a grayscale image, which is to be recorded on the recording paper, is decided based upon the pixel by a data distribution unit which refers to ink density data and combination data. Recording by the recording head is controlled, based upon the combination of inks decided, by a unit which controls the recording head and paper feed.

Disclosed is a roller unit comprising a roller rotatable about a shaft, a bearing for supporting the shaft, and a mechanism for imparting a pre-load to the bearing, characterized in that the mechanism has structure capable of varying the pre-load. Sheet supply device having a suction pad holder with attached swing arm

A heat development device for thermally developing a latent image formed on a sheet includes a sheet guide means in the form of a plate and a heating means for heating the sheet guide means. The heating means has a width more than a width of the sheet guide means and has both ends in a width direction each of which extends outwardly from a corresponding end of the sheet guide means. The heating means may preferably be divided into at least three portions which are controllable independently. The heat development device may preferably further includes a sheet pressing means for pressing the sheet against the sheet guide means. The heat development device is effective in improving a thermal distribution of the sheet guide means to provide an image having a uniform image density formed on the sheet when used in an image recording apparatus.

An apparatus for recording or reading information on or from a sheet is disclosed. The apparatus includes a holding unit for holding a sheet, a first arm which has one end pivotally fixed to the holding unit, a second arm whose one end or a specific point is pivotally fixed to the first arm, and a driving system. The driving system can integrally move the other end of the first arm and the other end of the second arm, and can change the interval between the other end of the first arm and the other end of the second arm. The apparatus also includes a posture regulating mechanism for regulating the posture of the holding unit with respect to the first arm, a sheet supply unit provided with the holding unit, the first arm, the second arm, the driving system, and the posture regulating mechanism, and a recording or reading unit for performing information recording or information reading on a sheet supplied to the sheet supply unit.

Recording or reading apparatus and sheet supply device with drive system

A sheet carrier apparatus of the present invention includes a first and a second rotary roller member, at least one of them having a rotary driving force. The second rotary roller member is constructed so as to be able to rotate around the first rotary roller member while it is being driven by the first rotary roller member. In order to control these rollers, the sheet carrier apparatus includes a control device for selectively setting the direction in which a sheet is moved from among a plurality of directions by controlling the rotary driving of the rotary roller members while carrying a sheet and by controlling the degree of angular displacement causing the second rotary roller member to rotate around the first rotary roller member while a sheet is grasped between them.

The sheet conveying unit of the present invention has a roller for conveying a sheet which contacts therewith, a supporting portion for rotatably supporting both sides of the roller, a drive motor for rotatively driving the roller, and a frame portion for holding the supporting portion and the drive motor and making them integral with each other. The rotary shaft of the roller and the rotary shaft of the drive motor are a common shaft. The rotor of the drive motor is mounted on the common shaft, and the stator of the drive motor is mounted on the frame portion.

In an image recording apparatus, a supply magazine and a receive magazine are arranged almost in a row, and a sheet transport path is formed along the periphery of both magazines. A recording sheet, which is taken out of the supply magazine, is once moved to a path whose transport resistance is small, so that the trailing edge of the recording sheet is completely out of the supply magazine. Then, a subscanning operation for image recording is performed along the path whose transport resistance is small.
