An electrode-misalignment detection device in a resistance welder that joins members together by holding them between opposing electrodes and applying pressure and electricity thereto includes an electrode misalignment detector that simultaneously approaches outer peripheries of both electrodes to detect misalignment thereof. The electrode misalignment detector includes a clamping member, a signal generator, a non-closed-state detector, and a misalignment determiner. The clamping member is movable toward the electrodes to clamp them from opposite radially outer sides and is settable in a predetermined closed state when the electrodes are located at appropriate positions. The signal generator outputs a movement state signal according to a movement state of the clamping member. The non-closed-state detector detects that the clamping member is in a state other than the predetermined closed state based on the movement state signal. The misalignment determiner determines electrode misalignment if the clamping member is not in the predetermined closed state.

A headlight module includes a light source, a light distribution control element and a projection optical element. The light source emits light. The light distribution control element forms a light distribution pattern by changing a divergence angle of the light incident therein. The projection optical element projects the light distribution pattern. The light distribution control element includes a first light distribution formation part configured to form a high luminosity region in the light distribution pattern and a second light distribution formation part configured to form a low luminosity region in the light distribution pattern. The low luminosity region is lower in luminosity than the high luminosity region.

Illumination device

A welding assistance member with electrically-conductive properties is used for spot-welding performed by sandwiching a second member between electrically-conductive first members different in material from the second member. The welding assistance member is fitted into a hole extending through the second member so as to allow for spot-welding of the first members to each other from opposite sides in the hole. The welding assistance member includes: a main body that has a size and shape that allow a gap to be formed between the main body and an inner side surface of the hole when the main body is fitted in the hole; and a position maintaining component that is provided at an outer side of the main body, has heat, heat resisting, and electrically insulating properties, and maintains the main body in a separated state from the inner side surface. A headlight module for projecting a light distribution pattern includes: a light source for emitting light; and an optical element including a first reflecting surface for reflecting the light as first reflected light, a second reflecting surface for reflecting, as second reflected light, light passing through a traveling direction side of an edge portion of the first reflecting surface, a first emitting surface for emitting the first reflected light, and a second emitting surface for emitting the second reflected light, the traveling direction side being a side toward which the first reflected light travels. The edge portion is an edge portion on the traveling direction side. The first reflecting surface forms a high luminous intensity region of the light distribution pattern by superposing the first reflected light and light that has not been reflected by the first reflecting surface, and forms a cutoff line of the light distribution pattern.

A headlight module for projecting a light distribution pattern includes: a first source for emitting first light; a second source for emitting second light; an element including a first guide for guiding the first light and a second guide for guiding the second light; and a condensing element for concentrating the second light. An emitting surface of the element includes first and second regions. The first light is emitted from the regions. The second light is emitted from the second region. The second region side of the second guide is connected to the first guide. The first light guided by the first guide enters the second guide. The pattern includes a pattern formed at a light concentration position of the condensing element. The second guide includes an incident surface. A focal position of the emitting surface and a focal position of the incident surface coincide with the light concentration position.

A first member has through holes. A linking member has a first holding portion and a second holding portion that hold an inner circumferential face and outer circumferential face of the first member; and engaging protrusions are formed on the first holding portion and second holding portion. The engaging protrusions are inserted into the through holes, and joined by joining portions formed thereupon. An attaching portion continues to the base edges of the first holding portion and second holding portion via a first supporting portion and a second supporting portion.

Object lens driving apparatus and manufacturing method thereof

The optical driving device according to the present invention includes a holder for holding a plurality of optical each of which focuses on an optical disk a light beam outputted from a light source, focusing coils, and tracking coils; a plurality of elastic support members for supporting the holder so as to be movable in an approximately radial direction of the optical disk and in an approximately perpendicular direction to the optical disk; and a base for holding inner yokes placed inside the holder, and magnets that generate magnetic fields with respect to the focusing coils and to the tracking coils; as for the optical driving device, the top face of the holder has a closed structure over the inner yokes.

An optical element driving apparatus includes a holder that holds a plurality of switchable optical elements for focusing light on a recording medium, a resiliently deformable supporting unit that supports the holder, a focusing driving unit that drives the holder in a direction of optical axes of the optical elements, and a tracking driving unit that drives the holder in a tracking direction perpendicular to the direction of the optical axes. The switching of the optical elements is performed by moving the holder by means of the tracking driving unit, so as to select one of the optical elements that focuses light on the recording medium.

A lens holder is so supported that the lens holder is movable along a supporting shaft in parallel to an optical axis of the object lens, and rotatable about the supporting shaft. Yokes are so provided that the yokes and the magnets respectively sandwich the focusing coils and the tracking coils. The yokes have facing portions that face respective magnetic poles of the magnets and extending portions extending in the directions away from the magnets.
