A sun visor apparatus for a vehicle includes a sun visor body, a supporting member supported on a roof panel and supporting the sun visor body so that the sun visor body moves in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a first position where the sun visor body is positioned in a storage space provided on an underside of the roof panel and a second position where a rear end of the sun visor body is positioned behind a mirror body of an interior rearview mirror when viewed from a driver, and a shade extending from the sun visor body to the storage space in accordance with a movement of the sun visor body.

A sunshade device for a vehicle includes a first panel being slidable relative to a roof panel by receiving a driving force so as to open or close an opening portion formed in the roof panel of a vehicle, a second panel being slidable by receiving a driving force from the first panel so as to open or close the opening portion, a lifting mechanism for lifting the second panel upward relative to the first panel in a predetermined sliding position, and a link member provided between the first panel and the second panel and rotatably connected to the first panel and the second panel. A sun-roof device for use in a vehicle having a roof includes an open portion formed in the roof and having a pair of parallel spaced side peripheries each of which extends in a lengthwise direction of the vehicle. A frame is fixed to the roof so as to be located below the roof and has a pair of guide rails each of which extends along a side periphery of the opening portion. A movable panel is provided for opening and closing the opening portion and a pair of sliding members are connected to the movable panel for moving the movable panel. The sliding members are each guided in one of the guide rails so as to be slidable in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle, and a draining groove member for draining water on the frame is provided below the frame and separate from the frame.

A vehicle retractable mirror structure comprising an arm member mounted on a vehicle body for a pivotable movement relative to the vehicle body between an operative position wherein the arm member projects sidewardly with respect to the vehicle body and a retracted position wherein the arm member is positioned close to the vehicle body, and a mirror assembly mounted on the arm member for a pivotable movement with respect to the arm member. There is provided an interconnecting motion transmitting mechanism between the arm member and the mirror assembly for moving the mirror assembly with the arm member so that the mirror assembly is moved to an operative position wherein the mirror member is projected sidewardly with respect to the vehicle body when the arm member is moved to the operative position and a retracted position wherein the mirror member is positioned close to the vehicle body when the arm member is moved to the retracted position. There is further provided a driving mechanism for driving the arm member between the operative position and the retracted position whereby the mirror assembly is moved with respect to the arm member when the arm member is driven by the driving mechanism.

The arrangement controls relative rotation between a fixed element and a rotational element which are drivingly connected by a drive unit. That is, a first clutch is released when a relative torque not less than a fixed first torque is effected between the fixed element and the rotational element. A second clutch is released when a relative torque not less than a fixed second torque is applied between the fixed element and the rotational element. A first spring is operatively connected with the first clutch to determine the first torque. A second spring is operatively connected with the second clutch to determine the second torque.
