The invention relates to a computer mouse which is one kind of coordinate input devices for a computer, and more particularly to a computer mouse which is suitably used for a portable computer. The mouse has: a thin mouse case in which an upper face portion opposing a palm when the mouse is used is formed into a downward-concaved shape; and a plate-like member having a shape which extends along the downward-concaved upper face of the mouse case, and the plate-like member is attachable to the downward-concaved upper face of the mouse case in both an upward-convex direction and a downward-concave direction. When the mouse is to be used, the plate-like member is attached in the upward-convex manner to the downward-concaved upper face of the mouse case, and, when the mouse is to be carried, the plate-like member is attached in the downward-concave manner to the downward-concaved upper face of the mouse case, thereby realizing compaction of the mouse in which the original shape and size of the mouse are reproducible.

The object of the present invention is to suppress a decrease in the optical function of a sleeve by ensuring that a liquid chemical substance is not apt to remain on a peripheral surface of the sleeve even when the liquid chemical substance enters a connector. The present invention relates to an optical connector which is connected to an optical plug holding an optical fiber to a terminal end of which a ferrule is attached. The optical connector of the present invention has a guide pipe into which a ferrule is inserted and on an inner circumferential surface of which a supporting portion (a convexity) is formed, a light-emitting device, a light-receiving device, and a sleeve which is positioned by the supporting portion and optically connects the light-emitting device, the light-receiving device and the optical fiber. According to the present invention, there is a space between the guide pipe and the sleeve and, therefore, the phenomenon that a chemical substance adheres to a wide area and remains does not occur.

An optical connector to be connected to an optical plug holding optical fibers includes: a light-emitting element; a light-receiving element; and sleeves that optically connect the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element to optical fibers of the optical plug, respectively, in which a transmission sleeve and a reception sleeve are connected to each other via a link section to form a sleeve unit. The sleeve unit is secured by press-fitting the link section into a connector body. An optical connector with a shutter which minimizes the accommodating space for the shutter of inward opening type. The shutter opening inward in accordance with the insertion of the plug is provided near the inlet of the plug inserting hole of the case. A shutter biasing spring holding the shutter in the closed position is a torsion coil spring including a pair of arms projecting in two directions from the coil part. The shutter biasing spring is arranged so that the coil part faces towards the hole back side between the back surface of the shutter and the inner wall surface of the case. When the shutter opens and lies along the inner wall surface, both arms are sandwiched between the shutter and the inner wall surface of the case, and the coil part is positioned outside between the shutter and the inner wall surface of the case.

Optical connector with a shutter

An optical connector socket includes: a body having an insertion section in which a socket-side optical element is arranged and into which an optical connector plug is inserted; a cover, covered on the body, having an opening communicated with the insertion section; a shutter, openably/closably attached to the cover, for closing the opening; and a herical spring for elastically urging the shutter in a constant-closing direction. The opening is larger than an outside dimension of the optical connector plug inserted into the cover and smaller than that of the shutter. Therefore, there is no light leakage and dust intrusion, the socket can be attached to a device or a wall so as to direct an opening toward a front face without a cap, and an inspection in a state where the socket is assembled in an electronic device can be performed without attaching/detaching the cap to/from the socket.

The present invention seeks to provide an optical connector with an in-swinging shutter for closing a plug insertion opening of the connector, to avoid interference between the shutter and a plug holding part provided inside a plug insertion hole, to avoid increase in the outer dimensions of the connector by suppressing the accommodating space of the shutter. The in-swinging shutter has a two-piece hinge configuration in combination of a main shutter on the basal side and a sub shutter on the distal side. The sub shutter is hinge-coupled to the opening side end of the main shutter. The main shutter is elastically held at the closed position by a bias spring. The sub shutter is elastically held by another bias spring in a bent state in which it is bent towards the insertion opening side, or in a straightened state extending along the extended line of the basal side shutter.
