A three-dimensional shape measuring instrument is provided for measuring a three-dimensional shape of the polishing subject face. A polishing controller is provided for controlling a polishing robot alone or with a polishing tool, based on three-dimensional shape data of the polishing subject face obtained by the shape measurement by the three-dimensional shape measuring instrument. The polishing tool provides a polishing action on the respective part of the polishing subject face through controlling of the polishing robot alone or with the polishing tool by the polishing controller. By controlling a measuring robot and the three-dimensional shape measuring instrument by the polishing controller, the three-dimensional shape measuring instrument moves to a predetermined measuring position relative to the polishing subject face to measure the three-dimensional shape of the polishing subject face.

Automatic polishing system

A painting method for painting a painting subject area whose edge shape is delimited by at least one demarcation line. The method includes a center portion painting step of painting a center portion of the painting subject area which is away from the demarcation line using an air atomizing nozzle disposed within 5 cm or less from a painting subject surface, and a frame portion painting step of painting a frame portion of the painting subject area which is adjacent the demarcation line using a jet nozzle.

An object of the present invention is to provide an automatic drawing system capable of drawing a figure having a smooth and clear contour, in which a control apparatus, based on figure data of a planned drawing figure, by operation of a cartesian coordinate robot, moves a paint discharging apparatus parallel to a contour line of the planned drawing figure to be drawn at a planned drawing location, and along with this movement, the control apparatus executes contour parallel drawing control that causes the paint discharging apparatus to continuously perform a paint discharging operation, thereby drawing a contour portion of the planned drawing figure.

Thus, it is possible to prevent external air from entering the nozzle head, and the coating material from leaking to the outside of the nozzle head.

Electrostatic atomization coating apparatus

After completion of a preceding painting in a preceding painting area, by an action of a preceding painting robot, a painting object (object to be painted) is caused to be held together with a holder by a transfer section near two painting areas. In succession, with maintaining connection between the painting object and the holder, connection between an arm leading end portion of the preceding painting robot and the holder is released. Thereafter, by an action of a subsequent painting robot, an arm leading end portion of the subsequent painting robot with keeping its connection to the painting object is connected to the holder held to the transfer section. With this, in the course of transfer of the painting object between the painting robots for displacing the painting object relative to a spraying means, a relative positional relation between the arm leading portions of the painting robots and the painting object can be maintained same.
