A reinforcing film comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive layer laminated and fixed on a principal surface of a film substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a photocurable composition containing a photocurable agent and a base polymer having a crosslinked structure. The gel fraction of the photocurable composition is preferably 60% or more. The shear storage elastic modulus at 25° C. of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is preferably 1×10to 1.2×10Pa. The shear storage elastic modulus at 25° C. of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer after photocuring is preferably 1.5×10to 2×10Pa.

Reinforcing film

A reinforcing film comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive layer laminated and fixed on a principal surface of a film substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a photocurable composition containing a photocurable agent and a base polymer having a crosslinked structure. A frictional force of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer measured with a frictional force microscope at a frequency of 5 Hz is preferably 2 to 5 times a frictional force at a frequency of 0.1 Hz. After photocuring of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer, a frictional force of a photocured pressure sensitive adhesive layer measured with the frictional force microscope at a frequency of 5 Hz is preferably not less than 5 times a frictional force measured at a frequency of 0.1 Hz.

The object of the present invention is provision of a surface protection sheet for laser processing to be applied to the surface on the opposite side of the laser beam irradiation face, which can protect the surface of an application object, and does not allow easy development of a dross during laser cutting processing. According to the present invention, a surface protection sheetfor laser processing to be applied to the surface on the opposite side of the laser beam irradiation faceof a workpieceduring a cutting process by irradiation of a laser beamon the workpieceis provided, which contains a substrate layer and an adhesive layer formed on one surface of the substrate layer, wherein the substrate layer is made of a resin material having a melt viscosity measured based on JIS K7199 (1999) at 290&#xb0; C. of not more than 200 Pa&#xb7;s, and has a thickness of 0.01-0.12 mm.

Surface protection sheet for laser material processing

A backlight unitincludes LED units, a light guide plateand a follow-up mechanism. The light guide platehas light entrance surfacesand a light exit surface. The light entrance surfacesare provided so as to face the respective LED units. The light exit surfaceis provided parallel to an arrangement direction in which the LED unitsand the light entrance surfaceare arranged (i.e., the Y-axis direction) and such that light exits therethrough. The follow-up mechanism is configured to move the LED unitU in the arrangement direction in response to a deformation of the light guide plate. The follow-up mechanism includes a support memberthat supports the LED unitU. The support member is in contact with a surface of the light guide platealong the light entrance surfaceU.

Lighting device, display device and television receiver

It is an object of the present invention to provide a display device in which the color purity of red display can be improved and also to provide an electric apparatus using the same. A controller () of the display device is provided with an illumination control part () that turns on a light-emitting diode (first light source) (C) to emit a cyan light during the former half of one frame time period and turns on a light-emitting diode (second light source) (M) to emit a magenta light during the latter half of the one frame time period. In addition, a video signal converting part () is provided to a panel control part (display control part). The video signal converting partconverts an inputted video signal to video signals for the former half and the latter half of the one frame time period, on the basis of the inputted video signal and the colors of the lights in the former half and the latter half of the one frame time period. The present invention is applicable to, for example, a television receiver having a transmission type liquid crystal display device.

A lamp connector allows for checking of a connection between an external electrode of an external electrode tubular lamp and a terminal fitting into which the external electrode is fitted. Because the lamp connector into which an external electrode provided on the outer surface of an end portion of a tubular lamp is fitted includes a terminal fitting which includes a terminal piece and a terminal piece insulated from each other which are to be individually brought into contact with the external electrode, it is possible to easily check conduction between the external electrode and the terminal fitting using a tester. Accordingly, any poor fitting of the lamp into the connector can be readily found and corrected.

An objective of one embodiment of the present invention is to reduce abrupt noise derived from infrared light emitted by a light source from a data signal of infrared light received by an infrared communications receiver for use with a display device including a light source without reducing the strength of the data signal. A multiplication factor for the amplitude of abrupt noise outputted by a lamp light-receiving element disposed in the vicinity of lamps of a liquid crystal television is adjusted in order for the amplitude of abrupt noise derived from the lamps and outputted by the lamp light-receiving element to be equalized with the amplitude of abrupt noise derived from the lamps and included in a data signal outputted by a data light-receiving element. Then, the abrupt noise subjected to multiplication factor adjustment is subtracted from the data signal including the abrupt noise, so that only the data signal remains and is transmitted to the liquid crystal television.

Infrared communications receiver

An objective of one embodiment of the present invention is to perform infrared communications without error by reducing abrupt noise included in a data signal when a light source of a display device is driven by PWM drive. When a control portion is provided with a drive setting signal for determining whether to drive lamps of a liquid crystal television by pulse width modulation drive or by continuous drive, the control portion sets a threshold in a register for a frequency filter portion based on the provided drive setting signal. Furthermore, upon reception of infrared light from the lamps, the threshold being set is reviewed based on an occurrence frequency for abrupt noise provided by a waveform analysis portion. Thereafter, abrupt noise included in a data signal transmitted from a cell phone is reduced by the frequency filter portion, and then the data signal is transmitted to the liquid crystal television.

A light source unit includes a chassis, a light diffuser disposed to face the chassis, a light source disposed between the light diffuser and the chassis, and an air passage through which air for cooling the light source flows. The light source is disposed inside the air passage, whereas the light diffuser is disposed outside the air passage. At least a portion of the air passage is partitioned by a partition transparent to light of the light source.

A light source device and a display device are disclosed of which high display quality can be maintained by correcting luminance or a color tone without making a user feel strangeness or inconvenience. A light source device is disclosed in at least one embodiment, including light source blocks each of which has red-color light-emitting diodes, green-color light-emitting diodes and blue-color light-emitting diodes and is capable of independently adjusting luminance of the three color diodes, a photo-receiving mechanism arranged to photo-receive light, and a correcting operation control mechanism arranged to calculate correction amounts of the luminance of the light sources in each of the blocks based on photo-receiving amounts of the photo-received light in order to maintain uniform luminance or a uniform color tone among the blocks, wherein the mechanism controls the mechanism to photo-receive the light when a termination operation of the light source device is performed.

Light source device, a display device and a television receiver

A liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal panel provided with plural gate lines to select a pixel and plural data lines to supply pixel data and a data driver dividing a single frame into plural fields and converting frame data into field data to supply the field data to the data line is provided. When the frame data has a tone change, the data driver performs correction to data of an odd-number field of the frame in a same direction as an increase/decrease direction of the tone change of the frame data, and performs correction to data of an even-number field of the frame in an opposite direction to the increase/decrease direction of the tone change of the frame data.

Liquid crystal display device having a plurality of subfields

A cold cathode tube lamp which can be lighted easily when the ambient temperature is low. The cold cathode tube lamp comprises discharge tubes having a pair of electrodes and being driven when a voltage having an AC component is supplied thereto, and ballast capacitors connected with at least one of the pair of electrodes. The ballast capacitor is arranged to come into thermal contact with the discharge tube and to increase the capacitance as the surface temperature of the ballast capacitor decreases.
