A seat arrangement for a vehicle includes a first row of seats, a second row of seats mounted behind the first row of seats in a vehicular cabin, and a third row of seats mounted behind the second row of seats in the cabin. A second row seat is slidable in the longitudinal direction, and a seat cushion of the third row seat can be pivoted about a pivotal axis in the vicinity of its front edge into the upright position. When the seat cushion of the third row seat is in the upright position and the second row seat is slid rearwardly, the seat cushion of the third row seat and the second row seat are positioned closely with each other. The second row seat can slide rearwardly without interference from the step on the floor or rear wheel housings bulging out into a cabin.

Seat arrangement for a vehicle

The present invention provides a vehicle-seat storing structure having in combination an instrument panel disposed in the front end zone of a cabin space of a vehicle along the width direction of the vehicle, and a seat disposed opposed to the instrument panel. A concave portion is formed in the surface of the instrument panel opposed to the seat so as to receive therein at least a part of the seat in a seat position where a seat cushion is slidingly moved to a given position in the front end zone of the cabin space and a seatback is inclined frontwardly by a given angle. Further, the instrument panel defines an inside space having a given zone containing an air-conditioning unit for controllably adjusting cabin air and outside air to provide a desired cabin-air condition. The given zone is located approximately centrally in the width direction of the vehicle, and the concave portion is formed in a region of the instrument panel where it does not overlap the air-conditioning unit in the width direction of the vehicle.

Vehicle-seat storing structure

An air bag mount device for mounting an air bag unit on a steering wheel device comprises an inflatuble air bag body in the air bag unit, an air bag cover provided in the air bag unit for covering the air bag body, a bag storing portion provided in the air bag unit for receiving the air bag body, and a control switch for controlling accessories mounted on a vehicle. The air bag cover is formed with a breakable split line, along which the air bag cover is split to form an opening through which the air bag body is inflated. The control switch is arranged on the air bag cover outside of opposite ends of the split line so as to be kept from being influenced by breaking of the air bag cover and the inflation of the air bag.

Air bag mount device for steering wheel including control switches

A windshield supporting structure which is to be employed in combination with an open cowl structure having an opening which opens upward includes a windshield supporting portion which is provided at the rear end portion of the opening. The windshield is bonded to the windshield supporting portion. The windshield supporting portion is positioned so that it supports the windshield at an intermediate portion thereof as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and so that the windshield extends forward and downward beyond the windshield supporting portion.
