Multiple system numerical control device

A wire electric discharge machine capable of taper machining with an improved accuracy. A reference wire correction amount d set in advance is determined to be a proper value for a wire-diameter correction amount for a speed control plane, and adjustment amounts for adjusting the reference wire correction amount for the upper and lower surfaces of a workpiece are determined to be proportional to (1-Lu/Lm) and (1-Ll/Lm), respectively, where Lu, Lm and Ll are machining distances at the upper surface, speed control plane and lower surface, respectively. As a proportionality coefficient, a reference adjustment amount e is set in advance. Using adjustment amounts e(1-Lu/Lm) and e(1-Ll/Lm), wire-diameter correction amounts for the workpiece upper and lower surfaces are determined to be d+e(1-Lu/Lm) and d+e(1-Ll/Lm). When a workpiece setting table and upper and lower wire guides are driven, axes are controlled so that a wire electrode follows, on the workpiece upper and lower surfaces, paths shifted by the wire-diameter amounts, respectively.

Wire electric discharge machine

A wire electric discharge machine and a wire electric discharge machining method in which a workpiece set posture is compensated for an error. After a workpiece is set and fixed on a workpiece table, an upper guide measures three or more three-dimensional positions that are not situated on one straight line on an upper surface of the workpiece, utilizing detection of contact with the upper surface. A unit normal vector is obtained, and a shift amount for shift from an originally set vertical position to a corrected position is calculated. In machining, the shift amount is added to the position to compensate for an angle error of a machined surface, and a deviation of a machined point position caused by inclination of the workpiece is collaterally compensated for. Thus, the machined shape cannot be distorted, and the workpiece set posture error can be compensated for.

Wire electric discharge machine and wire electric discharge machining method

A wire electric discharge machine capable of preventing a straightness error from being caused by consumption of a wire electrode, to eliminate insufficient machining. A correction angle &#x3c6; is predetermined for preventing the straightness error of the workpiece due to consumption. Correction amounts d', d&#x2032; on a program plane and an upper surface of a workpiece, respectively, are determined based on the predetermined correction angle &#x3c6;, and are added to or substracted from a predetermined offset amount depending on a wire electrode radius and an electric discharging gap, to determine corrected offset amounts d, don the program plane and the upper surface of the workpiece, respectively. Correction amounts dlo, dup for lower and upper wire guides in an offset direction are obtained based on the corrected offset amounts d, d, respectively, so that motion paths of upper and lower wire guides relative to the workpiece are determined.

A table for fixing a workpiece is driven and controlled by a position control means in a CNC unit through servo motors. Approach of a press tool to the workpiece is started by a press operation control means in the CNC unit through a servo motor at the time prior to the time, at which the position control of the table is completed, by predetermined time. Afterward, the press tool is controlled according to operation data stored in a press operation storage means in the CNC unit.
