A protrusion is formed to protrude from a separator to a side opposite to a plurality of battery cells along a second direction. A restraint member includes: a binding bar extending in a first direction; and an abutment member located on the plurality of battery cells side with respect to the binding bar, the abutment member being in abutment with the separator at a first position and a second position to form an air flow path, the first position and the second position being separated from each other along a third direction. The first position is located on a side close to an upper surface of a housing with respect to the second position. The protrusion is disposed only at the second position, and is provided to interfere with the abutment member at the second position so as to compress and deform the abutment member.

Battery module

In a battery pack disclosed herein, a plurality of single cells are aligned in an alignment direction. In this battery pack, a spacer is disposed in a gap between adjacent ones of the single cells, and a convex rib is formed on the spacer. In a flat surface of each single cell, a region where the rib is in contact is a confined region, and a region where the rib is not in contact is a non-confined region. In the non-confined region within the battery case, an internal pressure adjusting bag filled with a gas is housed. In addition, gas supplying means (soluble part) for supplying the gas held in the internal pressure adjusting bag to an internal space of the battery case is provided. Thus, a negative pressure within the single cell is removed, and deterioration of high-rate performance otherwise caused by outflow of an electrolyte can be prevented.

Battery pack and production method for battery pack

The present disclosure provides an assembled battery having a plurality of unit cells, spacers disposed so as to sandwich the unit cells, and restraining members that restrain the unit cells and the spacers in an array direction X. In each unit cell, a flat wound electrode body having a winding end fixed by a fixing member is accommodated in a battery case. The spacers are provided with rib portions protruding towards long side surfaces of the battery case. Flat portions of the electrode body each have a pressing region including a pressing site that opposes the rib portions, and a moderation region other than the pressing region. The pressing region includes at least the center of each flat portion in a winding axis direction, and a first pressing region over a direction along a major axis. The fixing member is disposed at the moderation region.

Assembled battery

The present invention provides a battery pack in which a plurality of unit cells and one or a plurality of spacers are alternately arranged in a predetermined arrangement direction and a load is applied in the arrangement direction. The unit cell includes an electrode body having a reaction section, and a battery case having long side surfaces. The spacer includes, on a surface facing the unit cell, a first pressing portion that presses a part of the reaction section. The first pressing portion is configured to press each of the center portion and a pair of end portions of the reaction section in a width direction over the entire length in a vertical direction, and not to press a lower region, which is &#x2153; of the reaction section from the lower end in the vertical direction, over a length of &#xbd; or more in the width direction.

Battery pack

A power storage device includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode, a first collector terminal connected to the first electrode, a second collector terminal connected to the second electrode, an accommodation case which accommodates the electrode assembly, and an insulating film arranged between the accommodation case and the electrode assembly. The first collector terminal is higher in electrical conduction resistance than the second collector terminal. The insulating film is provided with a first cut at a position adjacent to the first collector terminal and a second cut at a position adjacent to the second collector terminal. The first cut is smaller in area than the second cut.

Power storage device

Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which a flat wound electrode body, a nonaqueous electrolytic solution, and an insulating film are accommodated in a quadrilateral battery case. The insulating film is formed into a bag shape corresponding to a shape of the electrode body and is arranged between an inner wall of the battery case and the electrode body. An entire surface of a bottom-side R portion of two R portions of the electrode body, which faces a bottom surface of the battery case, and an inside of the bag-shaped insulating film, which faces the bottom-side R portion of the electrode body, are joined to each other.

Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and method of manufacturing the same

A sealed battery according to the disclosure includes: a case provided with a case body having an opening therein and a lid that is sized so as to be capable of closing the opening and that has an electrolyte fill port; an electrode assembly that is housed in the case; and an electrolyte solution. The lid is provided with a filler plug that is welded to the lid so as to close the fill port. The lid has an outside surface with a region thereon subjected to electrolyte-repelling treatment so as to surround the weld where the filler plug is welded.

Sealed battery and method of manufacture

A producing method of an assembled battery includes: preparing plural battery cells each of which includes an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and a container for housing the electrode body; classifying the plural battery cells into plural thickness ranks depending on a thickness in an arrangement direction of the electrode body housed inside each battery cell; and arranging the plural battery cells in the arrangement direction, and fastening the plural battery cells such that a load is applied to the plural battery cells in the arrangement direction, the plural battery cells being selected from the plural thickness ranks in a manner as to conform a length in the arrangement direction of the battery cells is adapted to a predetermined length when the plural battery cells are arranged in the arrangement direction.

Producing method of assembled battery

There is provided a sealed secondary battery whose current-blocking system yields little change in the actuation pressure even on long-term use. The sealed secondary battery comprises a current-blocking systemthat is actuated by a pressure rise inside a battery caseto disconnect conduction path between an electrode and an electrode terminal. Current-blocking systemcomprises a pressure-sensitive member having a pressure-sensitive deformable portionthat deforms from a first state via snap-through deformation to a second state upon a pressure rise inside battery case, and is configured to disconnect the conduction path by snap-through deformation of pressure-sensitive deformable portion

Sealed secondary battery

An electric storage apparatus includes a plurality of electric storage elements placed side by side along a predetermined direction and a restraint plate placed between two of the electric storage elements adjacent to each other in the predetermined direction. The electric storage element has a power-generating element performing charge and discharge and a case housing the power-generating element. The restraint plate has protruding portions which give a restraint force to the electric storage element and form a space between the restraint plate and the electric storage element. The power-generating element has a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator placed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The power-generating element includes a reaction area where a chemical reaction associated with the charge and discharge occurs. The plurality of protruding portions have a first protruding portion in contact with a first area in the case and a second protruding portion in contact with a second area in the case. The first area in the case is opposite to the reaction area, and the second area in the case is opposite to the area of the power-generating element except the reaction area.

Electric storage apparatus

A thermal expansion coefficient of a battery case may be lower than those of an insulating film and a separator. Portions of the insulating film, which are held in contact with the electrode body and the battery case, may be adhered to the separator, which is positioned on the outermost surface of the electrode body, and the battery case, respectively. A first 90 degree peeling strength of an adhesion portion between the insulating film and the battery case is higher than a second 90 degree peeling strength of an adhesion portion between the insulating film and the separator. The first 90 degree peeling strength may be 15 mN/cm or higher, and the second 90 degree peeling strength may be 5 mN/cm or higher.

Secondary battery

A manufacturing method for a square battery includes: a first process in which an outer terminal and an outer side resin member that separates the outer terminal and an outer surface of a lid body are assembled to the lid body; a second process in which a laser beam is irradiated from the outer surface side of the lid body to weld the lid body to the case body by laser after the first process; and a third process in which the outer side resin member is expanded after the second process.

Manufacturing method for square battery and square battery

A battery assembly has circular cylindrical rechargeable/dischargeable battery cells () and a holding member for holding the battery cells. On the outer peripheral surface () of each battery cell are formed wavy irregularities () arranged in the circumferential direction of the battery cell and extending longitudinally. The holding member has battery cell installation holes each having grooves () formed in an inner peripheral surface () of the installation hole and engaging with the irregularities (). The battery cells () are held inserted in the battery cell installation holes in the holding member, and in this state, the irregularities () on the outer peripheral surfaces () of the battery cells and the grooves () are fitted to each other.

Battery assembly

A cylindrical battery is formed by sealing an electrode wound body in a cylindrical case and having an outer terminal member mounted to one end of the battery so as to axially penetrate through a gasket having a cylindrical portion and collar portions. A neck is formed at the inner surface of the case. A flange having an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter of the neck is formed on the outer terminal member. To mount the outer terminal member to the case, the gasket is mounted to the flange, liquid is charged from a through-hole with the flange held in a temporarily sealed state in which the flange is pressed into the case until being in contact with the neck, and an end portion of the case is bent to the inner surface side thereof to press the collar portion to the flange to complete sealing.

Cylindrical battery and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed is a winding type battery comprising a center pin, and a wound power generation element formed by interposing a first separator in one interspace between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, interposing a second separator in another interspace between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, fixing the first and second separators to the center pin and then winding in one direction. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing a winding type battery. A winding type battery belongs to batteries demand of which is increasing recently. A center pin of an inventive winding type battery is provided with an inside clamp portion and an outside clamp portion, portions to be clamped of first and second separators are clamped between the inside and outside clamp portions while being extended in the forward winding direction, and then the first separator is touched along the outside clamp portion.
