A headrest is provided including an upper pillow section that configures a front side of an upper portion of the headrest, and a lower pillow section that configures a front side of a lower portion of the headrest. A front-rear position of the lower pillow section with respect to the upper pillow section is adjustable by swinging the lower pillow section about a shaft extending along a seat width direction at an upper edge side of the lower pillow section, and a protrusion amount by which respective seat width direction side portions of the lower pillow section protrude toward a seat front side being adjustable with respect to a seat width direction intermediate portion of the lower pillow section by swinging the two seat width direction side portions about a shaft extending in a seat vertical direction.

Headrest and vehicle seat

A vehicle seat including a rod installed between left and right side frames of a seat cushion, wherein the rod is provided with a weakened part which is configured to promote the buckling distortion of the rod in a predetermined direction, wherein the weakened part includes first and second weakened portions which respectively weakens a portion of a surface of the rod facing a first direction and a portion of a surface of the rod facing a second direction opposite to the first direction at an end portion of a side of the rod to which an impact load is inputted, so that the rod is configured to be bent in the first direction and the second direction, and wherein the first weakened portion is formed closer to the side to which the impact load is inputted than the second weakened portion.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat is provided. The vehicle seat includes a back frame, and a bracket assembled to the back frame and configured to reduce a load applied to a neck of an occupant by shock of a rear collision when the rear collision occurs in a vehicle, wherein the bracket has an inclined surface that is substantially parallel with a torso line at a normal posture of a seatback.

A protection cover structure of a slide detection apparatus for a vehicle seat is provided. The slide detection apparatus is configured to detect a slide state of the vehicle seat with a magnetic detector which is provided to one of a fixed rail and a movable rail configuring a slide rail mechanism of the vehicle seat, and a detectable member provided to the other of the rails. The protection cover structure includes a protection cover provided to the one rail and configured to cover and protect the magnetic detector. The protection cover integrally includes a side cover part which covers a side of the magnetic detector, and a cover part which covers a detection part of the magnetic detector. A tip end portion of the cover part is formed with a lip-shaped contact part which is configured to slidably contact a sidewall surface of the other rail.

Protection cover structure of slide detection apparatus for vehicle seat

In a seat reclining device, reclining mechanisms that are respectively provided on right and left sides of a seat are constructed such that locking and unlocking motion thereof can be performed in synchronism with each other via a connection member. A connection structure of the connection member and a operation shaft is constructed as a transmission preventing mechanism for preventing transmission of the unlocking motion between the reclining mechanisms when a load is laterally disproportionately applied to the seat back in which the reclining mechanisms are in a locking condition such that a relatively different rotational displacement that permits to release the locking condition is generated between the reclining mechanisms that are arranged in rotationally synchronism with each other.
