A pen holder includes a holder to hold an electronic pen including a replaceable pen tip that contacts a screen of a display apparatus for input to the display apparatus. The pen holder further includes a pulling-out portion to pull out the pen tip, having an open end in a first direction and including a gripping portion. The gripping portion includes a first wall and a second to grip the pen tip inserted from the open end in the first direction. The first wall linearly extends in the first direction, and the second wall linearly extends in the first direction and disposed at a distance from the first wall in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

The lifting area input gear is coupled to the first lifting area gear and coupled via the first lifting area gear via to the second lifting area gear.

A developing device includes a developer bearer, a casing defining an upper compartment to contain the developer and a lower compartment disposed lower than the upper compartment, to contain the developer, and a first conveyor and a second conveyor disposed in the upper compartment and the lower compartment, respectively, to convey the developer in a longitudinal direction of the developer bearer and circulate the developer between the upper compartment and the lower compartment through a first communicating opening, through which the developer is conveyed upward, and a second communicating opening. A developer-lifting range of the upper compartment, which opposes the first communicating opening, is larger in volume than a developer-lifting range of the lower compartment. One of the upper compartment and the lower compartment is disposed adjacent to the developer bearer to supply the developer to the developer bearer.

A developing device includes a developer bearer including a magnetic field generator, a developer regulator disposed opposite the developer bearer across a regulation gap, a developer containing compartment disposed below the developer bearer, and a conveying screw disposed in the developer containing compartment and including a shaft having a diameter greater than a radius of the conveying screw. The discharging unit includes a discharge opening through which the powder in the housing unit is discharged outside and a rotary shutter that is provided inside the discharge opening and that opens and closes the discharge opening by rotating about a rotating shaft that is arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the housing unit.

Driving of the oscillation applying unit is controlled in response to an operation of the delivery member.
