An objective of the present invention is to provide a fuel rail that can be used at a high fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more, for example, has good engine mountability, and has improved material yield. The present invention is regarding a fuel rail including a main pipe portionextending in a longitudinal direction and a plurality of distribution pipe portions, andbranching from the main pipe portion in a cross direction, in a fuel supply system in which a fuel compressed by a fuel pump passes through a fuel passage hole of the fuel rail fixed to an engine trough a bracket or a stay, the fuel is supplied to injectors, and the fuel is injected into the engine, the present invention is to cut and form the main pipe portionand the plurality of distribution pipe portions, andfrom a same single-sheet plate, the single-sheet plate being a plane plate or a flat plate having an irregular shape in cross section, and to seamlessly configure a main pipe hole, distribution pipe holes, and, and injector attaching holes, and, without joints.

Connecting structure between rotary shaft and metal plate and method of connecting therebetween

A fuel swirler positioned upstream of an injection orifice is disposed at the tip of a nozzle body in a fuel injector, in which the fixed core and the nozzle body are coupled to each other via a non-magnetic cylindrical seal ring press-fitted and welded to the outer circumference of one end on the nozzle body side of the fixed core and the inner circumference of one end of the nozzle body. The inner circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the seal ring function serve as a guide for slidably guiding a stroke movement of the needle. The fuel swirler is held between the receiving surface of the nozzle body and the orifice plate, thus defining an annular fuel passage between the outer circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the nozzle body, so that fuel flows into a passage groove formed at the lower end surface of the fuel swirler via the annular fuel passage. A mass movable in an axial direction independently of the needle is interposed between the return spring and the needle, and a plate spring is interposed between the mass and the needle.

An underwater laser processing system has a laser torch; a laser torch driving mechanism for changing a laser emission position of the laser torch; and a chamber with one end opened to an external environment, which contains the laser torch; wherein a partitioning wall for preventing permeation of water is provided between a free end of the chamber and the laser torch. The system is used for detecting a sensitized portion and repairing it at one time using a sensitization detecting arrangement. Moreover, it is used for forming an alloying layer by melting a sprayed coating film, and for forming a new surface layer by emitting a laser beam through a solution containing a metal component.

Underwater laser processing device including chamber with partitioning

Disclosed is a highly reliable weld repairing method to repair a crack defect in structures and apparatus inside pressure vessels of nuclear reactors, while preventing generation of new crack defects in the structures and apparatus during the repairing. These structures and apparatus are made of any of stainless steel and Ni-base alloys, and are irradiated with high energy corpuscular ray during operating period of the reactor. The repairing method includes the steps of eliminating a region of the structure or the apparatus including a portion having the crack defect, and executing spot welding at a surface of the region continuously or interruptedly in a manner so as to form a first welded layer in a manner that each of the spot welded spots is half-overlapped with adjacent welded spots. Additionally, welding for forming at least a second layer, on the first welded layer, so that the at least a second layer is not deeper than a weld penetration thickness of the first welded layer can be performed.

Method for weld repairing of structures in nuclear reactors

A neutron-irradiated structural material having a defect in a nuclear reactor internals is repaired by covering the structural material to be repaired with a plate to cover over a portion thereof having the defect, and then welding the plate and the structural material by locally applying pressure on the surface of the plate and adding energy to the portion to which the pressure is applied thereby to generate thermal energy in the contact surfaces between the plate and the structural material.

Method of repairing structural materials of nuclear reactor internals

A water jet peening method in which a pressurized water jet flow containing cavities is jetted through a nozzle having a velocity increasing orifice portion and a horn-like jetting hole formed continuously with the velocity increasing orifice portion to impinge against a surface of a metallic material immersed in water and to cause the cavities to collapse at the surface of the metallic member, and a tensile plastic deformation is caused in a surface layer of the metallic material by a local high pressure generated by the impingement and the collapse so that a residual tensile stress in the surface of the metallic member is reduced. In this method, the nozzle is vibrated so that vibration-induced cavities are formed in the vicinity of a nozzle wall surface, and the vibration-induced cavities are caused to impinge against the surface of the metallic member by the pressurized water jet flow containing cavities. It is thereby possible to promote the generation of cavities even in a case where pure water existing in a nuclear reactor and scant of nuclei from which cavities will be generated is used in peening of an internal structual member of the reactor.
