A light source device includes a light-condensing device that condenses an illumination light that is emitted from a light source lamp. The light-condensing device includes at least one lens, a lens holder in which a lens is fixedly provided, and a lens holding member. The lens holding member is a member for fixing a lens to the lens holder. The lens holding member causes at least one circumferential portion of the lens to protrude to the lens holder side, and causes the optical axis of the lens to match the optical axis of the illumination light.

Light source device

A light source device includes a light source lamp, a rotary plate, a heat absorbing portion, and a filter mounting member. The light source lamp emits illumination light. The rotary plate includes multiple opening portions that are selectively disposed in the illumination light path of the light source lamp. A reflective filter that reflects light of a wavelength that acts a heat source in illumination light is provided in one of the multiple opening portions of the rotary plate. The heat absorbing portion absorbs heat included in reflected light reflected by the reflective filter in the opening portion. The filter mounting member disposes the reflective filter in the opening portion at a predetermined angle of inclination to the optical axis of the illumination light. By disposing the inclined reflective filter in the illumination light path, reflected light reflected by the reflective filter is reflected towards the heat absorbing portion.

A strobe apparatus includes a xenon tube, which is a discharge tube, having a discharge light emitting portion and a light emitting portion terminal. Light is emitted from the xenon tube and is reflected in a predetermined direction by a reflection umbrella. A transparent electrode is coated on the external surface of the xenon tube from the discharge light emitting portion to the terminal. When trigger voltage is applied to the xenon tube through the transparent electrode, strobe light is emitted by the discharge light emitting portion. By using the strobe apparatus, the orientation characteristic of the discharge tube can be improved without uneven light distribution and a shortage of a light amount.

Strobe light emitting apparatus and camera

The flash light emitting device includes a charging circuit for charging the light emitting energy into a capacitor by boosting a power supply voltage, and a light emitting circuit for making a flash light emitting tube emit light with the use of the energy of the capacitor. The flash light emitting device further includes a timer which counts a lapsed time from a point of time that a given amount of charging to the capacitor performed by the charging circuit is completed, and a charging controller which controls whether a next charging operation by the charging circuit is to be started or not based on the lapsed time counted by the timer.

Flash light emitting device

The camera includes a printed wiring board on which electric parts are mounted, a strobe light emission part which emits and projects a lighting light toward an object to be photographed, and a planar capacitor which stores light emitting energy for the strobe light emission part. A planar portion of the planar capacitor which faces toward the printed wiring board is arranged parallel to and fixedly secured to the printed wiring board.

Camera

The present invention provides a camera having strobe unit, comprising a strobe flashing unit for emitting illumination light toward an object, a switch for switching states of flashlight emanating from the strobe flashing unit by selecting normal flashlight or flashlight that is effective in alleviating a red-eye phenomenon and that contains less red light than normal flashlight, an information recorder for recording photographic information on film, and a recording control unit for allowing the information recorder to record flashlight selected by the switch.

Camera having a strobe unit

In this strobe apparatus which can be fitted to a camera having a strobe built-in or a camera, a flash comprises at least two flashing parts having respectively different light distribution characteristics, the distances to objects in a plurality of places within the photographed picture are measured and the flashing amounts adapted to the distances are operated to control the flashing amount of the flashing. Also, the flashing amounts of the first flashing part having non-uniform light distribution characteristics at the time of the full flashing within the photographed picture and the second flashing part having non-uniform light distribution characteristics substantially linearly symmetrical with the light distribution characteristics of said first flashing part with respect to the center axis are respectively independently controlled by a controlling circuit.

Strobe apparatus

In a strobe controlling apparatus, there are provided respective information outputs for outputting respectively the guide number information GV, film sensitivity information SV and object distance information DV, a judged diaphragm value is determined by the operation of GV+SV-DV from their outputs, the above-mentioned diaphragm value is compared with a predetermined value memorized in advance, in case the above-mentioned diaphragm value is smaller, the diaphragm will be controlled and, in case the above-mentioned diaphragm value is larger, the flash amount will be controlled so that, particularly, at the time of strobe photographing, the short distance exposure may be prevented from being over-exposed and a proper exposure is made possible.
