An optical communication device, for performing communication between spatially separated points by using one or more laser beams, includes an angle correction device that corrects a direction of a light receiving system and an emission optical axis correction device, in which an angle error which is not corrected by the angle correction device is detected by a light receiving angle detection device, and the emission optical axis correction device is controlled according to a detected error amount, and an emission optical axis is corrected.

Optical communication device

A low-profile chucking mechanism holds a disc recording medium on a turntable that has a plurality of first engaging teeth and a plurality of second engaging teeth. When the disc recording medium is to be mounted on a disc supporting surface of the turntable, the first engaging teeth are pushed radially inwardly of the rotational axis of the turntable by the edge of a central circular hole of the disc recording medium. When the first engaging teeth are moved, the second engaging teeth are biased in ganged relation to the first engaging teeth radially outwardly of the rotational axis of the turntable and engage the edge of the central circular hole of the disc recording medium mounted on the disc supporting surface, thereby pressing and holding the disc recording medium against the disc supporting surface.

A recording and/or reproducing apparatus using a magnetic tape as a recording medium such that, when holding by a holding mechanism is released at the position where a cover member is closed and a magnetic head is moved between a contact position, where contact with a magnetic tape which travels by a traveling mechanism provided in the apparatus body is obtained, to a position distant from the magnetic tape or when the magnetic tape is pinched by the traveling mechanism, the pinching of the magnetic tape by the traveling mechanism is released and the magnetic head is moved to a distant position. In this manner, even if the apparatus is stopped when the power source is shut off while the FWD reproducing mode or the REV reproducing mode is kept set, the magnetic tape can be safely and securely extracted from the attachment section.

Recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magnetic tape

A non-aqueous electrolyte cell is to be reduced in its projection area in a portable electronic equipment. A unit cell is housed in an exterior packaging material of a laminated film, formed with a spacing by deep drawing, and in which electrode terminal leads electrically connected to respective electrodes of the unit cell are led out to outside from the inside of the exterior packaging material. The exterior packaging material is heat-fused around the spacing formed by deep drawing, with the heat-fused portion of said exterior packaging material being folded on itself except the heat-fused portion of said exterior packaging material from which are led out said electrode terminal leads. The folded exterior packaging material is immobilized by the dielectric sheet to the exterior packaging material.

Non-aqueous electolyte cell

A magnetic head chip bonding device for bonding plural magnetic head chip to a base member to produce a composite type magnetic head is disclosed. The device includes a magnetic head chip retention unit for applying the pressure to the magnetic head chip for applying the magnetic head chip against the base member, and a magnetic head chip holding unit for holding the magnetic head chip. The device also includes a magnetic head chip detection unit for detecting the position of the magnetic head chip and a magnetic head chip shifting unit for shifting the magnetic head chip and the magnetic head chip holding unit responsive to an output of the magnetic head chip position detection unit. The pressure exerted by the magnetic head chip retention unit on the magnetic head chip is preferably variable, and the magnetic head chip holding unit preferably is made up of a pair of supporting members clamping the magnetic head chip in- between. The device renders it possible to bond the magnetic head chips to the base member in position without requiring operation skill.

An objective lens drive device that can be assembled with a high production efficiency, without any adhesives being forced out. The objective lens drive device is in the form of a bi-axial actuator having empty chambers 25a, 25b formed by a portion of a bobbin holder 15, a portion of a lens holder 2, and a portion of a coil bobbin 4. The empty chambers 25a, 25b are filled with an adhesive 3 to bond the coil bobbin 4 to the lens holder 2. Thus, no adhesives are forced out, and the adhesive can be cured within a short time.

Objective lens drive device

A lens moving apparatus of the present invention is used in an optical pickup of, for example, an optical recording/reproducing system. The apparatus includes a moving assembly holding an objective lens and provided with a coil bobbin, elastic supporting devices which support the moving assembly along the focusing dimension and the tracking dimension, focusing coils and tracking coils wound on the coil bobbin, and a magnetic circuit formed by a yoke and a magnet. The center of gravity of the moving assembly is positioned so that the product of the distance from an effective section of the focusing coil to the center of gravity of the moving assembly and the force produced at the effective section is about equal to the product of the distance from a noneffective section of the focusing coil to the center of gravity of the moving assembly and the force produced at the noneffective section.

An objective lens driving device used in an optical recording and/or reproduction apparatus comprises a lens holder, elastic supporting members, a coil bobbin and a yoke. An objective lens is mounted in the lens holder. The elastic supporting members have one end attached to the lens holder and the other end attached to a mounting part. The elastic supporting members support the lens holder movably in a direction parallel to the optical axis of the objective lens and in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis. A coil for focusing and coils for tracking are wound on the coil bobbin. A magnet is mounted on the yoke, and the width of this magnet is selected so that flux from the magnet acts only on effective portions of the coils for tracking.

Objective lens driving device

An objective lens drive device used in a an optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a lens holder, a plurality of elastic supporting members and a coil bobbin. The lens holder holds an objective lens. Each one end portion of the plurality of elastic supporting members are fixed to the lens holder and each other end portion of the elastic supporting members are fixed to a fixed portion. The plurality of elastic supporting members movably support the lens holder in a parallel direction of the objective lens and a horizontal direction ortjogonal to the optical axis of the objective lens. A focussing coil is wound around the coil bobbin. At least one tracking coil is attached to the focussing coil. The coil bobbin is provided with a plurality of terminals to project therefrom. The terminals are wound with the end portions of the focussing coils and the end portions of the tracking coil.

A method is provided for producing an objective lens actuator in which a first resin portion which is a stationary portion and a second resin portion which is a movable portion on which an objective lens is to be mounted are integrally formed to plate-like bases in which a plurality of elastic support portions for movably supporting the movable portion relative to the stationary portion in a direction of an optical axis of the objective lens are formed in parallel with each other, so that the first resin portion and the second resin portions are connected to each other by the elastic support portions. Method for producing an objective lens actuator having elastic supports

An objective lens driving biaxial actuator for driving an objective lens in both a focusing direction and a tracking direction with respect to a recording medium. The biaxial actuator comprises: a movable portion for holding the objective lens; an elastic member having its one end attached to the movable portion for movably supporting the movable portion; a stationary portion fixing the other end of the elastic member; and a balancer disposed at the side of the stationary portion with respect to the objective lens and carried on the movable portion at such a distance that its clearance from the stationary portion may restrict the deformation of the elastic member within an elastic limit. A hinge is interposed between the elastic member and the movable portion for moving the objective lens in the tracking direction.
