A refrigeration cycle device includes a flow channel coupling member which constitutes at least one of a branching portion and a joining portion of a third refrigerant passage and a branching portion and a joining portion of a bypass passage. One of three refrigerant ports of the flow channel coupling member is directly connected to one of two refrigerant ports of a first switching device or a second switching device, and a sealing mechanism preventing a refrigerant leakage is provided in a connecting portion between the refrigerant port of the flow channel coupling member and the refrigerant port of the first switching device or the second switching device. The flow channel coupling member is fixed to one of the switching devices at a position different from a position of the sealing mechanism.

Refrigeration cycle device

An automobile air conditioning system controls the high pressure of the refrigeration cycle in a wide range of airflows from a low airflow region during an intermediate period to a high airflow region. When a dehumidifying mode is selected, the target high pressure at which the cycle efficiency calculated from a gas cooler outlet refrigerant temperature is maximized is defined as a target value to a valve such as a heating variable throttle valve to control the high pressure of the refrigeration cycle to the target value. This permits control such that the cycle efficiency of the refrigeration cycle is maximized in a wide range of airflow from a low airflow region during an intermediate period to a high airflow region at a relatively low, about 10&#xb0; C., outside air temperature.

Vehicle air conditioning system

In an ejector refrigerant cycle, even if refrigerant is super-heated in an evaporator, super-heated gas refrigerant does not directly flow into a gas-liquid separator, so that boiling of refrigerant does not occur in the gas-liquid separator due to evaporation of refrigerant in the gas-liquid separator. When an equivalent inner diameter (D) of a tank body of the gas-liquid separator is set in a range of 2 cm&#x2013;6 cm, and when a ratio of a vertical dimension (H) of the tank body to the equivalent inner diameter (D) thereof is larger than 1, a wall thickness of the tank body can be reduced while gas-liquid separation performance in the gas-liquid separator can be improved.

Gas-liquid separator and ejector refrigerant cycle using the same

A vapor-compression refrigerant cycle system includes a first evaporator in which refrigerant is evaporated, a second evaporator in which refrigerant is evaporated at a pressure lower than that in the first evaporator, and a switching device for switching between a first circulation where the refrigerant is circulated to the first evaporator and a second circulation where the refrigerant is circulated to the second evaporator. When the switching device switches to the second circulation from the first circulation, a refrigerant circulation into the second evaporator is stopped until the refrigerant pressure in the second evaporator becomes equal to or lower than a predetermined pressure. Therefore, the pressure in the second evaporator can be rapidly reduced. Further, when carbon dioxide is used as the refrigerant, the pressure in the second evaporator can be further rapidly reduced.

Vapor-compression refrigerant cycle system

In a vehicle air conditioner, a cold accumulator is disposed at a downstream air side of an evaporator to be cooled by cold air after passing through the evaporator. A cold accumulating material is sealed within the cold accumulator to be solidified while being cooled by the cold air from the evaporator. The cold accumulating material is a mixture of plural kinds of paraffin materials having different melting points, equal to or more than two. The plural kinds of the paraffin materials are mixed, so that the cold accumulating material having a melting point in a range of 7-11&deg; C. can be obtained. In this case, cooling function in the cold accumulator can be improved.

Vehicle air conditioner with cold accumulator

In a vehicle air conditioner, a temperature sensor is disposed on a tank of an evaporator to contact the tank. In addition, the temperature sensor is disposed at a tank position separated from a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet. Accordingly, a downstream space of the evaporator can be effectively used, and the size of the air conditioner can be reduced while the temperature of the evaporator can be accurately detected using the temperature sensor.

A refrigeration system which can reduce the amount of moisture permeating into the system, inexpensively and by a simple structure, is disclosed. Rubber hoses ( ) capable of absorbing vibrations are arranged on the discharge and the intake sides of a compressor ( ). It was found that the amount of moisture in the system can be effectively reduced by reducing the amount of moisture permeating the rubber hose on the discharge side. A freezing limit line is set for defining to a predetermined level the amount of moisture in the system determined by the amount of the refrigerant sealed in the system, the amount of the lubricating oil sealed in the system, the amount of moisture permeation of the hoses ( ) and the number of the years elapsed after operation start. The hose ( ) on the discharge side of the compressor has a smaller amount of moisture permeation than the hose ( ) on the intake side. A hose having a moisture permeation not more than the freezing limit line during a predetermined service life is used as the hose ( ) on the discharge side.

Refrigeration system

A fluid-impermeable composite hose has a laminated layer composed of an inner winding layer formed by winding a laminated sheet spirally in a single layer, leaving a gap between every two adjoining turns, and an outer winding layer formed by winding a laminated sheet spirally in a single layer over the gap in the inner winding layer, leaving a gap between every two adjoining turns. The gap of the inner wind layer gives the hose flexibility and prevents the folding of the spirally wound sheet which might result in the failure of the hose to maintain its fluid impermeability.

Fluid-impermeable composite hose

A fluid-impermeable composite hose has a laminated layer having a high impermeability to a refrigerant, etc. and held between two resin layers having a thickness which is small enough to enable the hose to remain flexible. The resin layers secure and protect the laminated layer and protect a metallic foil in the laminated layer from any bending, deforming or stretching force acting upon the hose.

There is used a refrigerant which is lower in a saturated water concentration in gas phase than in liquid phase, such as, for example, Freon-134a or Freon-22. In a body block 46 of a box-shaped expansion valve there are formed by-passes 77, 81 and 86 for by-passing a portion of the refrigerant evaporated in an evaporator 41. Halfway in the by-passes 77, 81 and 86 a cooling cylinder 73 is disposed for cooling the refrigerant present in those by-passes, and further a filter 83 is disposed for collecting the water contained in the refrigerant. In addition, a water permeating membrane 88 is disposed in a water discharge passage 79 formed in the body block 46.

Water removing device in refrigerating system

A refrigerant evaporator for a refrigeration cycle which separates a refrigerant of a two-phase gas and liquid state introduced from a pressure reduction means into a liquid refrigerant and a gas refrigerant by a gas and liquid separation means and distributes at least the liquid refrigerant to a plurality of refrigerant passageways of a heat exchange portion by a distribution means such as a tank. The distributed refrigerant has a single phase such as a liquid refrigerant and therefore the distribution is uniformly and equally carried out, the efficiency of the evaporator becomes higher, and the size can be reduced.

Refrigerant evaporator

A refrigeration system, wherein without providing a drier for removing the moisture entering the cycle, stable operation of the refrigeration system is made possible by setting the balanced moisture concentration of the refrigerant during operation to less than 350 ppm by relatively selecting the moisture permeations of the lines upstream and downstream of the compressor and by using a refrigerant with a higher saturated moisture concentration. Further, as the lubricating oil circulating in the freezing circuit mixed in the refrigerant, use is made of one with a saturated moisture concentration higher than that of the refrigerant.

A cooling medium charge amount detector capable of detecting whether or not an actual amount of a cooling medium is a desired amount in comparison with the amount of the cooling medium necessary for a desired degree of supercooling on an inlet side of an expansion valve in a refrigeration circulation system, without using a sensor or computation means. A cooling medium on the inlet side of an expansion valve 23 in a refrigeration circulation system 20 is allowed to flow into a cooling medium charge amount detector 40. Throttles 41, 42, 43 are disposed in this cooling medium charge amount detector 40, and sight glasses 44, 45, 46 are disposed at both ends of the throttles 41, 42, 43 to detect a gas-liquid condition of the cooling medium. When the cooling medium flows into this cooling medium charge amount detector, the shift of the cooling medium from a liquid condition to a two-phase gas-liquid condition is checked upstream or downstream of any throttle to match the load condition at that time. In this way, a pressure difference proportional to the degree of supercooling can be detected and eventually, whether or not the charge amount of the cooling medium is suitable in the refrigeration circulation system 20 can be detected.

Method and apparatus for detecting an amount of cooling medium charged

A refrigerant recovery system has a refrigerant recovery vessel which is connected to a refrigerant-recovered refrigeration circuit. A gaseous refrigerant in the refrigerant-recovered refrigeration system is sucked into the refrigerant recovery vessel due to the difference between the pressure in the refrigerant-recovered refrigeration circuit and the refrigerant recovery wheel. The refrigerant recovery vessel is cooled by a refrigeration circuit provided in the refrigerant recovery system, so that the sucked gaseous refrigerant is a liquified. to the refrigerant recovery vessel, a recovery tank made of a cartridge type is connected. The liquefied refrigerant from the refrigerant recovery vessel is sent to the tank. When the temperature of the recovery tank is not low enough, the liquefied refrigerant sent into the tank is evaporated and then returns to the refrigerant recovery vessel so that the refrigerant is liquefied in the vessel again. Such processes are repeated so that the temperature of the tank is gradually lowered by the liquified refrigerant sent thereto and hence the liquefied refrigerant is accumulated in the tank.
