A urea spray selective catalytic reduction ('SCR') control system includes an SCR catalyst provided in a discharge pipe of an engine, a dosing valve for injecting urea water at an upstream side of the SCR catalyst, and NOx sensors, wherein the system controls injection of the urea water from the dosing valve. The system includes a plurality of NOx model maps corresponding to an atmospheric pressure condition, an outdoor air temperature, and an engine water temperature, and determines an amount of NOx from each NOx model map on a basis of detection values of an atmospheric pressure detector, an outdoor air temperature detector, and an engine water temperature detector, and controls an amount of injection of the urea water from the dosing valve on a basis of the amount of NOx thus determined.

Urea spray selective catalytic reduction control system

A selective catalytic reduction thawing control system that can distinguish between a thawing failure and a malfunction and can prevent a malfunction of a supply module ('SM') pump. The thawing control system includes a thawing control unit that detects a pressure inside the supply module when the SM pump is operated, and stops the operation of the SM pump and continues thawing of urea water when the pressure is less than a predetermined value.

SCR thawing control system

An arrangement for controlling fuel injection in a diesel engine to prevent generation of smoke even when an accelerator pedal is stamped during idling. A basic amount of fuel injection Q,is determined from an engine revolution speed Ne and accelerator opening degree Ac. A maximum amount of fuel injection Q,is determined from the engine revolution speed Ne and an intake air flow rate MAF. It is then determined whether a first condition of vehicle speed being zero and a second condition of accelerator opening degree being not zero both hold true. The maximum amount of fuel injection Q,is corrected to a smaller value Q,when both the first and second conditions are met. In this case, the basic amount of fuel injection Qbase is compared with the reduced maximum amount of fuel injection Q,and the smaller one is selected as a target amount of fuel injection Q,.

Method and apparatus for controlling fuel injection in diesel engine

In an electronic fuel injection apparatus comprising a control circuit of an electromagnetic spill valve for adjusting a fuel injection quantity in a distribution-type fuel injection pump for a diesel engine, and a computing unit for providing a command signal to the control circuit, a driving current flowing through a solenoid of an electromagnetic spill valve is detected, a state where a delay time interval from a transit point of a command signal provided to the control circuit to a delay point at which the driving current crosses a threshold value is equal to or more than a predetermined value is determined as a slightly abnormal state to invalidate the command signal for a pilot injection, or a state where the delay time interval exceeds an allowable value further larger than the predetermined value is determined as a seriously abnormal state to stop the engine.

Electronic fuel injection apparatus

In an electronic fuel injection apparatus which controls a fuel injection timing of a fuel injection pump for a diesel engine through a timing control valve, when the time during which a present final feedback correction quantity obtained by adding, to the last final feedback correction quantity, the present feedback correction quantity which is computed according to a difference between an actual fuel injection timing and a target fuel injection timing, reaches a lower limit or an upper limit and also the difference is outside a predetermined range, lasts for a predetermined time, controlling a timing control valve is stopped.
