Provided is a stereo camera that is capable of reducing the distance error created by entrance pupil center movement between different principal ray angles of incidence. In the present invention, imaging system unitimages a standard image of an object. Imaging system unitimages a reference image of the object. A geometric correction information storage unitstores geometric correction information for the standard image and reference image, which each have error depending on the differences between the positions of the object in the standard image and reference image if the entrance pupil center indicating the point of intersection between the principal ray and optical axis moves according to the angle of incidence and the positions of the object in the standard image and reference image if it is assumed that the entrance pupil center does not move according to the angle of incidence. The geometric correction unitgeometrically corrects the standard image and reference image using the geometric correction information.

A stereo camera includes a first convex hyperboloidal mirror and a second convex hyperboloidal mirror that share a central axis and are vertically disposed with vertexes facing each other, an imaging optical system, and an image sensor. The second convex hyperboloidal mirror is formed of an outer circumferential hyperboloidal mirror and an inner circumferential hyperboloidal mirror that share the central axis with different conic constants, and an absolute value of the conic constant of the inner circumferential hyperboloidal mirror is greater than an absolute value of the conic constant of the outer circumferential hyperboloidal mirror.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an imaging device that prevents mismatching in image matching for parallax calculation even if the sharpnesses of an end part and center part of a processing area differ. An imaging deviceaccording to the present invention is provided with a means for equalizing the sharpnesses of the processing areas of a reference image and a comparison image.

A protective film () having a high secondary-emission coefficient is formed on a dielectric layer () so as to lower the discharge voltage of a plasma display panel. When the protective film () is exposed to the air, it will transform or become cloudy, or the secondary-emission coefficient will lower. To prevent this problem, an inert film () is formed on the surface of the protective film (). As the inert film (), a film of a metal oxide such as SiOand a film of a metal such as Tb are simultaneously formed. Thus, an inert film () excellent in barrier property against oxygen and water in the air and enabling easy sputtering from near the discharge electrode at the aging step can be obtained. In a liquid crystal display device that uses a liquid crystal material having spontaneous polarization and is actively driven by a TFT, a voltage corresponding to image data is applied twice by driving the TFT of each pixel electrode on a line by line basis of a liquid crystal panel, during writing in one frame. During erasure in one frame, voltage application to liquid crystal by batch selection of all the pixel electrodes is performed three times. With this three times of voltage application, it is possible to achieve a black display state in each pixel and make the stored charge amount at the liquid crystal in each pixel substantially zero.

A liquid crystal panel includes a glass substrate with pixel electrodes that are arranged in a matrix shape, TFTs that are connected to the pixel electrodes, and a glass substrate with an opposing electrode and color filters that are arranged in a matrix shape. A liquid crystal layer is formed in a space between the glass substrates by filling a ferroelectric liquid crystal into the space. When writing display data, and when deleting display data that has been written, a voltage, not including 0V, that becomes a voltage potential, or in other words, a voltage that is greater than a threshold voltage at which the optical characteristic of the filled ferroelectric liquid crystal changes is applied between the opposing electrode and pixel electrodes. An image is displayed over all gradation numbers, including the low-gradation side, and the display characteristic is improved.
