A molding material comprising the following components (A) to (D) at the following ratios, in which the component (D) is bonded to a composite comprising the components (A) to (C) and the order in the weight average molecular weight is component (D)&#x3e;component (B)&#x3e;component (C); (A) 1 to 75 wt % of a reinforcing fiber bundle; (B) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a first propylene-based resin; (C) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a second propylene-based resin having carboxylate groups bound to the polymer chains thereof; and (D) 5 to 98.98 wt % of a third propylene-based resin. A molding material of this invention provides a long fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molding material containing a propylene-based resin as the matrix resin, which allows the reinforcing fibers to be well dispersed into the molded article produced at the time of injection molding and allows the molded article produced to have excellent mechanical properties.

There is provided a coating material comprising a mixture of a water-based resin composition of a thermoplastic elastomer (A) and/or a thermoplastic elastomer (B) in which at least one moiety is modified with a functional group; one of a water-based resin composition of a resin (G) formed from a copolymerizable monomer (G-1) which includes a monomer having an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-monoethylenic unsaturated group and other copolymerizable monomer, and a water-based resin composition of an urethane resin (U); and a water-based resin composition of a petroleum-based hydrocarbon resin (D) and/or a rosin-based resin (E) and/or a terpene-based resin (F). The coating material causing no separation phenomenon provides a coating composition or a primer with which spray coating is possible, and is a completely water-based coating material exhibiting an excellent adhesivity to a molded article of various resins such as polyolefin and a synthetic rubber or to metals such as a steel plate and aluminum.

An inkjet printer includes an ink circulation path, a first tank, a second tank, and a pump, first and second liquid surface detectors which respectively detect ink liquid surfaces in the first and second tanks, an ink supply unit, a supplementary feed valve a control unit, a storage unit, and a determination unit. A solvent dispersion of a composite resin which comprises a solvent and a composite resin comprising a thermoplastic elastomer (A) and a polymer of copolymerizable monomers (B) comprising a monomer having an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-monoethylenically unsaturated group and other copolymerizable monomer(s), wherein the thermoplastic elastomer (A) is a propylene-based elastomer having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of not more than 3 as measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and the copolymerizable monomers (B) include at least one monomer containing no functional groups; and uses of the dispersion. The dispersion can be used to provide a coating material, primer, adhesive, additive, binder, film, and primer for strippable paints and traffic paints, which have excellent adhesiveness to various materials.

Solvent dispersion of composite resin and uses thereof

An ink jet printer has an ink circulation unit including an image recording unit to discharge ink to perform image recording on a recording medium; a first tank disposed above the image recording unit in a gravitational force direction to supply the ink to the image recording unit through a first ink path; a second tank disposed below the image recording unit in the gravitational force direction to collect the ink that was not discharged from the image recording unit through the second ink path; a pump to send the ink from the second tank to the first tank through a third ink path, and at least a part of the first ink path connecting the first tank and the image recording unit is positioned below an ink liquid level in the second tank in the gravitational force direction.

In an ink-jet printer of the present invention, an ink circulation pathis formed by an ink head, a first tank, a second tank, and a pump. A coating resin that is thermoplastic, exhibits good appearance, solvent resistance and adherence and is excellent in abrasion resistance; and a coting liquid or coating film thereof. In particular, a (meth)acrylic copolymer resin (A) produced by radical polymerization of 4 to 50 mass % of (meth)acrylic acid (a-1), 0.5 to 17 mass % of (meth)acrylamide (a-2), and 35 to 95.5 mass % of a compound having reactive unsaturated bond other than the compounds (a-1) and (a-2). With respect to the coating film produced therefrom, both the glass transition temperature Tg1 measured by means of a rigid-body pendulum type viscoelasticity measuring instrument and the glass transition temperature Tg2 measured by means of a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) are 110&#xb0; C. or higher. The coating film is an abrasion resistant film whose abrasion resistance measured in accordance with the Taber abrasion testing method is 80 rotations or greater.

(Meth)acrylic copolymer resin and coating film thereof

A resin composition of the present invention is obtainable by adding a photo-polymerization initiator (d) to a resin solution (a) containing a modified product of a thermoplastic resin (A). The modified product is prepared by conducting radical polymerization of the thermoplastic resin (A) with a (co)polymer (B) of a copolymerizable monomer (C) comprising a monomer having an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-mono-ethynically unsaturated group, or the monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in a weight ratio (A)1(B) of 1/9 to 9/1, in an organic solvent, or by conducting polymerization of a copolymerizable monomer (C) comprising a monomer having an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-mono-ethylenically unsaturated group, or the monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in a weight ratio (A)/(C) of 1/9 to 9/1, in an organic solvent in the presence of the thermoplastic resin (A), and then conducting radical polymerization thereof. A paint including the resin composition and a process for forming a coating film are also disclosed.

Present invention is a resin composition obtained by reacting polyolefin (A) with a (co)polymer (B) prepared from a copolymerizable monomer mixture (C) comprising an &agr;,&bgr;-monoethylenically unsaturated monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in a weight ratio (A)/(B)&equals;1/9-9/1 under radical generation in an organic solvent, or by polymerizing a copolymerizable monomer mixture (C) comprising an &agr;,&bgr;-monoethylenically unsaturated monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in the presence of polyolefin (A) in a weight ratio (A)/(C)&equals;1/9-9/1 in an organic solvent and successively by reacting the obtained reaction mass under radical generation; and the resin composition has good solution stability, does not cause liquid phase separation or solid precipitation, can be used as intact, is excellent in sprayability at high concentration, and, specifically, has novel function and effect that adhesion to polyolefin molded articles is excellent; and the resin composition can be favorably used for coating and primer because a coated film obtained by using a curing agent capable of reacting with an active hydrogen atom and/or hydroxyl group of the resin composition has excellent weatherability.
