An information processing apparatus includes a first communication unit configured to communicate with a first communication apparatus; a second communication unit configured to wirelessly communicate with each of one or more second wireless communication apparatuses; an acquisition unit configured to acquire from the first communication apparatus via the first communication unit an apparatus ID that is held by the first communication apparatus and that is used for identifying one of the one or more second wireless communication apparatuses to or from which the second communication unit transmits or receives data; and a control unit configured to control the second communication unit to transmit or receive the data to or from the one of the one or more second wireless communication apparatuses that is identified by the apparatus ID acquired by the acquisition unit.

Provided is an image forming apparatus including an image carrier, a transfer unit, a driver, a hardware processor, an adjustment mechanism, and a speed detector. The hardware processor sets a command value. The hardware processor performs a constant-torque control based on a constant-speed drive torque detected in a constant-speed control. In the constant-torque control, the hardware processor performs a feedback control to set a reference value to an average speed of the driver during passage of a first sheet and calculate a difference from an average speed during passage of a subsequent sheet so as to derive the command value. The hardware processor determines whether a load torque increase, its factor, and/or its influence exceeds a threshold, and forcibly sets the reference value to a speed detected while a pressure between the transfer unit and the image carrier is reduced by the adjustment mechanism from the pressure during image transfer.

A driving device includes: a first motor that transmits power to a rotation shaft of a conveyance roller for conveying a paper sheet; a second motor that transmits power to the rotation shaft of the conveyance roller; and a motor controller that controls rotational speeds of the first and second motors by changing a control value, wherein the motor controller controls the control value of the first motor at multiple steps at a time of acceleration or deceleration and changes the control value of the second motor according to a change range of the control value of the first motor in synchronization with a timing when the control value of the first motor is changed.

An image formation apparatus having a recording medium held between a photosensitive drum and a transfer belt and transferring a toner image from the photosensitive drum to the recording medium includes: a first heating unit to which power is supplied directly from outside when power of the apparatus is off; a second heating unit used in heating control when the power of the apparatus is on; a humidity detection unit configured to detect humidity inside the apparatus; and a control unit configured to, when the power of the apparatus is on, heat the transfer belt by controlling the first heating unit and the second heating unit on the basis of output of the humidity detection unit, wherein the transfer belt is heated by the first heating unit when the power of the apparatus is off.

Image formation apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a processor and heaters which heat a fixing member of an image fixing device. The processor calculates an application pattern for the heaters based on a temperature of the fixing member and generates a drive voltage by suitably selecting half waves from an AC waveform of an AC power supply according to the application pattern. When a duration of time the drive voltage is applied to a first heater in the application pattern having a duty cycle of a predetermined level or less exceeds a predetermined period of time, (i) the processor turns off the first heater and turns on a second heater with a different distribution, or (ii) the processor increases the duty cycle of the first heater and decreases a duty cycle of the second heater.

An image processing apparatus includes a first communication unit, an image processing unit, and an authentication unit. The first communication unit performs contactless communication using a radio-frequency identification (RFID). The second communication unit performs wireless communication. The image processing unit performs an image processing job. The authentication unit authenticates a user of the image processing apparatus. A fixing device includes a roller, a plurality of heaters, a temperature detection unit, and a control unit, wherein when the temperature detection unit detects that the temperature of longitudinal end portions of the roller is lower than a preset reference temperature, the control unit performs full-lighting control on the heater with the largest amount of heat supply to the end portions of the roller, out of the plurality of heaters, and performs lighting control on the heater with the second largest amount of heat supply to the end portions of the roller in a pattern at a predetermined duty ratio, or performs lighting control on the heater with the largest amount of heat supply to the end portions of the roller in a pattern at a predetermined duty ratio, and turns off the heater with the second largest amount of heat supply to the end portions of the roller.

An image forming apparatus receives setting of an object to be adjusted, on an adjustment object selection screen when selecting an adjustment mode. After the object to be adjusted is set, camera(s) photograph(s) the object to be adjusted so that the image forming apparatus obtains photographed data of current object to be adjusted. Next, the apparatus searches photographed data of the object to be adjusted in the ideal state thereof from the database. Name of the object to be adjusted and related information in the photographed data agree with those of the photographed data of current object to be adjusted. The higher ranked related information is preferentially searched and it is determined whether or not pieces of the higher ranked related information thus preferentially searched agree with each other.
