A method is provided, for manufacturing a stator for a rotary electric machine by shrink-fitting an outer cylinder to a core assembly where a cage-shaped wound coil is assembled with segment cores. The assembly is inserted into the outer cylinder having a diameter increased by thermal expansion caused by the heat from a heating unit, while the outer diameter of the assembly is being reduced by permitting the assembly to pass through a tapered guide unit. The guide unit has a portion whose diameter is larger than an outer diameter of the assembly, and a portion whose diameter is larger than an inner diameter of the outer cylinder and smaller than an inner diameter of the cylinder in the thermally expanded state, and a tapered through hole vertically passing through the guide unit. Thus, the size of the assembly is radially reduced, with a uniform diameter being obtained throughout the assembly.

Method for manufacturing stators for rotary electric machines

There is disclosed a method of manufacturing a rotor for a dynamoelectric machine. The rotor includes a rotating shaft, a rotor core fixed on the rotating shaft, and a cooling fan fixed to an axial end face of the rotor core. The method includes the step of fixing the cooling fan to the axial end face of the rotor core by resistance welding. The method is characterized in that in the resistance welding, both a positive electrode and a negative electrode are first brought into contact with the cooling fan to have the cooling fan held between the axial end face of the rotor core and both the positive and negative electrodes, and then weld current is supplied to flow from the positive electrode to the negative electrode.

Method of manufacturing stator coil

A stator for use in an electric rotating machine is provided which includes a stator winding wound through slots of a stator core. The stator winding is made up of a plurality of conductor segments connected together. Each of the conductor segments includes an in-slot portion disposed inside one of the slots and out-slot portions extending from the in-slot portion outside at least one of the ends of the stator core. Ends of the out-slot portions are joined together to form the stator winding. The joints of the ends of the out-slot portions have a given pattern of texture formed on surfaces thereof and coated with an insulating material. The pattern of texture enhances the adhesion of the insulating coatings to the surfaces of the joints and ensures the stability in electric insulation of the joints.

During sending the combined bodyto the core member, the pre-orientation membersare respectively inserted into a plurality of the consecutive clearancesof a plurality of the clearancesformed between the adjacent straight overlap sectionsof the combined body. By the pre-orientation members, the overlap of the straight portionsin the straight overlap sectionand the pitch between the straight overlap sectionsare aligned in advance.

A method of manufacturing a stator coil including shaping a plurality of shaped bodies from electric conductor wires; combining the shaped bodies to form a combined body; and winding the combined body around a core member to form a wound body. The shaped body includes a plurality of parallel straight portions extending along a longitudinal direction of the combined body, and a plurality of turn portions connecting straight portions at ends of the straight portions in an alternating manner. Each of the shaped bodies includes a plurality of straight overlap sections. The wound body includes a plurality of straight laminated sections formed from the plurality of straight overlap sections laminated in a radial direction. Pre-orientation members are inserted respectively into consecutive clearances formed between adjacent straight overlap sections during the winding step, so overlap of the straight portions in the straight overlap section caught between said pre-orientation members is aligned.

Method of assembling split core type stator of inner rotor type rotary electric machine

A method of adjusting an output of a gas sensor element is provided. The gas sensor element includes a lamination of a solid electrolyte body, a target gas-exposed electrode, a reference gas-exposed electrode, and a diffused resistance layer in which a target gas to be measured diffuses. The target gas-exposed electrode is disposed on a first surface of the solid electrolyte body exposed to the target gas. The reference gas-exposed electrode is disposed on a second surface of the solid electrolyte body exposed to a reference gas. The diffused resistance layer is disposed on the first surface of the solid electrolyte body. The target gas-exposed electrode and the reference gas-exposed electrode produce a sensor output. The adjustment of the sensor output is achieved by decreasing a diffusion length of the target gas in the diffused resistance layer as a function of a quantity of the sensor output to be adjusted by, for example, removing a portion of the diffused resistance layer.
