A film cartridge case which holds and carries therein a group of film cartridges for feeding sheets of undeveloped film loaded in their respective film cartridges to the development unit of an automatic photographic film development processor apparatus includes a plurality of cartridge pockets. Each pocket has a mispositioning preventing projection provided on one side of an inner wall thereof for engaging with a barcode readout window in the film cartridge upon the film cartridge being placed in the cartridge pocket in a correct orientation. The case includes holding members for detachably holding the film cartridges in their respective cartridge pockets. A conveyor element is arranged to be engaged by a conveying device. Film sheets can be loaded to and unloaded from respective film cartridges installed in the cartridge pockets.

Film cartridge case

An automatic film development apparatus includes a cartridge case for carrying a group of film cartridges loaded with undeveloped films. A feeder unit stores a plurality of the cartridge cases and delivering them one by one to an unloading station for unloading sheets of undeveloped film from respective film cartridges in the cartridge case. The undeveloped film sheet is rewound at a rewinding station into a takeup cartridge. A splicer unit joins one end of the undeveloped film sheet from the takeup cartridge to a short film leader supplied from a film leader supply unit for feeding short film leaders one at the time. A development unit developes the undeveloped film sheet joined to the short film leader. A separator unit separates a developed film sheet from the short film leader. The developed film sheet separated from the short film leader is loaded at a loading station back into its film cartridge. A conveying means conveys the cartridge case filled with film cartridges unloaded of film from the unloading station to the loading station. A leader receiver unit collects short film leaders separated from respective developed film sheets.

Automatic film development apparatus

A leader section of a film strip having coupler holes in the leading section is inserted into a film guide concavity of a coupling table through a rear slot of a leader sheet placed on the coupling table. The film strip is continuously forced to slide along a curved surface of the film guide concavity until the front end of the leader section of the film strip passes through a front slot of the leader sheet. While the leader section moves through the front slot of the leader sheet, it pushes and bends the coupler tongues upward and lets the coupler tongues snap back and enter the coupler holes of the film strip to bring the coupler tongues into engagement with the coupler holes. Finally, by pulling back and stretching the film strip tight, the film strip is coupled to the leader sheet.

Method and device for coupling a film strip to a processing leader sheet

An apparatus for vacuum absorption is provided which is quiet and simplified with maintaining an absorption power. The apparatus comprises: a tank for accumulating circulating water; a waterway for circulating the circulating water by a pump disposed at an absorption inlet side of the waterway and having an outlet disposed over the water surface of the circulating water in the tank; an aspirator disposed on the waterway; and a reverseflow prevention mechanism surrounding the outlet, having a small hole of the size to drain less volume of water than the volume flowing out of the outlet at the position sunk under the water, and comprising a buffer (hollow body) with drain windows at the position over the water surface. The apparatus serves to drain the circulating water into the water during the operation of the pump and to absorb air from the outlet into the vacuum vessel during the stoppage of the pump.

Apparatus for vacuum absorption with retracting reverse flow protection

A splicing gauge connects a film to a leader with high reliability. A film container support is provided at one end of a leader supporting surface of a splicing table. A fixed blade and a movable blade are provided between the container support and the leader supporting surface. A film pulled out of a film container is cut by moving the movable blade toward the fixed blade. A leader placed on the leader supporting surface is positioned relative to the cut edge of the film. A splicing tape is stuck on both the leader and the film. The leader is then turned over by 180.degree. about the film container to support it on a backside splicing table provided at one end of the container support. Another splicing tape is put on the backsides of the leader and the film.

A cartridge case stocker apparatus for use in an automatic film development processor machine comprises a pair of lifting devices movably arranged opposite to each other to have a space therebetween for detachably storing a number of cartridge cases and driven by a drive device; and rows of support plates mounted at substantially equal intervals to the lifting devices for engaging with and holding the two edges of each cartridge case with a corresponding pair thereof.

Cartridge case stocker apparatus in automatic film development processor

A coupling structure capable of coupling films to a leader with high reliability. The leader has a leader body formed with first holes and second holes in its rear with respect to the feed direction of the leader. Sheet members having fingers or protrusions are provided on the leader body so that the fingers extend across the respective first holes. Films having holes formed in its leading end, are coupled to the leader body by inserting their leading ends through second holes and then into the first holes until the fingers engage in the holes formed in the films.

Apparatus for vacuum absorption having reverse flow protection mechanism

A photographic processing apparatus includes a first magazine for feeding a first sensitive material to a development station, a second magazine for feeding a second sensitive material in a direction at an right angle to the feeding direction of the first sensitive material, a first cutter for separating a first sensitive sheet from the first sensitive material, a second cutter for separating a second sensitive sheet from the second sensitive material. A conveying pass line conveys the first and second sensitive sheets separated by their respective first and second cutters to the development station. A transfer shifting device mounted at the intersection of the feeding direction of the first sensitive material and the feeding direction of the second sensitive material for transfers the second sensitive sheet to the pass line.

Photographic processing apparatus

A film storing sheet comprising: an index print on which recorded images on a developed film is printed and a film sheet provided at the rear side of the index print and having a plurality of small pockets wherein the developed film is stored. Users can easily distinguish specific prints by seeing the index print.
